Creating a Faux Metal Pangolin Shield from Clay and Sticks
Time-lapse film of sculpting and painting a Pangolin shield. I wanted this wall hanging to look like a bronze shield bearing the mighty house sigil of the pangolin. Watch as I mess up the sizing and cut my hand with garden shears...all in the name of art! There is no narration here, so relax and enjoy!

The tools came from Amazon (search Stainless Steel Sculpting Tools). Thank you for your kind words...just keep sculpting and keep pushing to try new things...they don't always work out but you learn so much from the process!!!

Can you help me understand how you make the top of the mushroom? The gills and attaching it to the stem
For the gills, I used a _very_ long piece of fabric and, using a sewing machine, ran basting stitches along both long sides, which I pulled together into gathers. Once the gathers were nice and tight, I sewed the short ends together, making a "gill donut". This was sewn onto the mushroom cap, which had an internal wire support. I used glue to attach the cap to the new wire neck, and then sewed the gill fabric to the neck fabric using a ladder stitch. Whew!
