@@FetchTheSled Thanks. When I first got, I was afraid to detach it because I wanted to make sure I didn't stretch a zipper by forcing it to open. I'm pretty sure any returns the stores get are from customers who tried to force the handle to extend or the zippers open without detaching or expanding on the first day they received it.

No. It has a 1200 pound shock. I have heard that can happen with lighter shocks like 650 to 750 pound.

I have about 322 km on mine. A friend has almost 2200 km on his . for the price I paid, US$1267, I still recommend it you get a lot of bike for your money.

@@raifnbr 1. Yes, it has a one year warranty. Just join our Facebook group when you buy one SMLRO ebikes. James Hanks and Beatrice Frank are both members they operate the company and can help you if you need parts. 2. Defenders do a good job but you need to use some Loctite thread locker on the screws that come with the bike. Otherwise they will vibrate loose 3. If possible take the bike inside with you. That’s what I do when I go to the post office. If you have to lock it up outside use a good braided steel cable lock. Actually use two or three locks if you can just slow the thieves down.

179 cm. Yes, I think you’ll be fine. You may have to raise the seat up higher, but that’s all.

there's actually about 4 companies+ that sell the same bike. My advice is do not buy from SMLRO. I contacted them for basic information and they could not have been more disagreeable or contentious. My recommendation is even if it cost you an extra $100+ do not buy from this firm. You've been warned.

Yes, I did. It was in the 60's but cloudy and breezy. Some people just wear shorts and a tee, flip flops. I guess it depends on the person.

No I don’t. Sorry if you mean the seat post, they are all universal as far as I know I did have to use the original seat mounting hardware on the aftermarket seat for it to work.

The controller sends 20 amps max to each hub. Some guys go to a larger, 35 amp controller. This will increase top speed but shorten hub motor life. You pretty much have to build for speed: 52 volt system, 52 V battery, larger hub motors, bigger controllers…

You can unlock the bike and parameters P8 you can set to 100 miles an hour and P 22 you have to set to one I believe to get 14 miles an hour TopSpeed. There are RUclips videos to tell you how to do it.

@@FetchTheSled Yep v3! Shockingly capable machine and I appreciate it is a large bike so it’s is more comfortable to ride. I was looking for something with some power to pull me through the sandy shell rock trails here that surround my home. Loving it so far although im not too sure on putting those fenders back on. Have you found any setting to enable or disable front motor so it doesn’t have to be manually disconnected?

@@codeloch no, I haven’t messed with it . I have arthritis in both knees so I never pedal, use both motors all the time. Join our facebook group SMLRO eBike official. James Hanks can answer that question. Recently, a member accidentally disconnected the front motor and they were able to fix it. Glad you’re happy with the bike. I love mine.

Maria bent a rear wheel on that ride. The tires and wheels aren’t really made for off road use. She hit a big rock. Other than that the trike does fine. We just need to upgrade the tires and wheels to something beefier.

Thanks! More coming. We plan on covering a free year round camping area near us this week. I’ve read the trikes are backed up a couple of months. They are good about giving ETAs if you email.

She rides it from the house. No transporting yet. We are thinking of getting a Subaru Forrester. We will transport it in that.

In PAS 3 about 50 miles. In PAS 5 only 20 miles or so. The higher the pedal assist you’re using the faster the battery drains.

@FetchTheSled I'm glad I enjoyed your banter along the ride and I just received one of those trikes. As I'm still a chipper old man I am souping it up a little. A little higher speed from the motor. Street tires and a taller gear to be able to pedal to top speed. You and the Mrs enjoy the day!

Cool!! We will have to hook up, ride together. We live on 2nd Lane between West and Central, Erwin Lake area. If you take Big Bear Blvd east to where it dead ends, there is an opening in the fence wide enough for people and bikes. You can cut through to Erwin Ranch Road and the park. From there it's a left on Lakewood to Shay Meadows and the donkeys.
