it’s insane to me that when this movie initially came out i was way too young to comprehend the deep meaning behind this film, it actually used to make me nauseous as a kid for some reason, like legit no joke after watching this movie (which i begged my parents not to watch and reluctantly was forced to) it caused me to feel ill, there’s obviously no medical explanation for that, just something that always occurred to happen to me. years later coming back and watching this movie tho, i cannot explain how much it means to me, the deeper meaning of taking chances in a conditional and conventional society even when it means putting ur “personal comfort” at risk to venture and live with no regret. it’s amazingly well written and i can confirm it deeply stirred me but definitely didn’t make me sick this time! just sick of my current situation at the present.

Hope this doesn't sound lame to you but I drove with my girl to see the total solar eclipse this year and felt this feeling when I met so many fantastic people. I've been through a hard ride since this movie came out with my dad passing. I've felt like I could not watch it again since I was going to find myself in his shoes. We are almost there though. College loans all paid up, money saved up. House paid off. We're going to move to another country soon. We're going to find a new life and I am going to try to reconnect with the friends I made from all over the world when I traveled for study in college. If you don't mind, wish me luck. My heart misses the world and the love it used to give me.

I’ve watched it more than 5 times and each time I had a different reaction to it, it made me engage in outdoor and photography activities and I’ve learned to concentrate more focus on how to find the extraordinary things in my boring life.

When I was younger this movie gave me courage to travel beyond borders of my country and I fell in love with traveling. (mostly around Baltic sea) Now it gives me courage to travel even when my life is in unstable phase. This movie simply changed my life. <3

ive always loved this movie. Im stuck currently but im trying to get out of this. Ive not had a real relationship yet ive had many people i could have maybe ended up with. Ive always been shy and enclosed in a way, yet if you actually spoke with the people i work with they would totally say otherwise. I went on holiday to my family house this year. to spend the majority alone to try and figure myself out. I work as a certified apple engineer in london at a certified company. Im not happy anymore though im competent and even good at my job. I dont have the love anymore for the induste and i honestly am struggling to find whats next. I wish i had someone to talk to but i dont. i hope someone notices this message.

Can I travel 🧭

Back in 2014 i went through a pretty bad break-up, so i said fuck it and bought a ticket to Tokyo. My first trip overseas and also alone, funnily enough this movie was on the in-flight entertainment selections in the way there. The movie hit so close to home and it made me fall in love with traveling. 10 years since and I've been to so many countries and still so many more to go. The world is too big for our small problems to bother us, go out, explore, and find yourself.

Well, I'm sitting here after having lost my fiance, failed my semester, and need a job. I'm watching it with the same eyes as I did 10 years ago, just with so much more insight

Here in 2024. Working since I was 13. Four kids. Three out of the house. Last kid is a sophomore. My time has almost come. It’s been an amazing ride. I am excited for the future!

I use this film to teach with every year and have since it has come out (my ninth graders love it). A parent of two former students stopped me a few weeks ago and told me that during family movie night her sons, whom I taught, picked this film and explained what they learned about culture, identity, inclusivity, societal norms, and how it’s okay to figure out who you are and be that person. She thanked me, and now I thank you for helping all of my students over these many years learn valuable lessons about becoming their own hero, being just who they are, thinking outside of the box, and taking the leaps and risks which help us to grow. We appreciate the effort and consideration which was put into this work.

This is my favorite and, in my opinion, one of the most underrated movies of all time. Whenever life feels like it’s too much, I’m feeling lost, or just need a sense of inspiration I turn to this movie or this video. Always makes me realize life is beautiful. It’s a gift and too short not to be enjoyed
