Non-Mathematical Overview of Experimental Modal Analysis
This is lesson no. 2 of 15 from the online course Basic Modal Analysis taught by Dr. Peter Avitabile. It is an excellent introduction without getting bogged down by complex mathematics. More sound & vibration courses at www.learnsv.com.

Thank you Dr! You have been a technical library ever since the Dynamics System course at UML!

Great and clear explanation, the most outstanding part is that there are explanations on the diagrams and it helps a lot to undrestand the topic.

I like the content of this presentation very much, originally from the book "Modal Testing: A Practitioner's Guide" from Peter Avitabile. It's indeed very helpful with questions and practical tips I am still using for custom vibration measurement services. Some of these are shown on my channel. Nice presentation.

Good explanation. Recording has lots of low frequency noise disturbances and its not pleasant when hear it in headphones. Just a frank observation but content is really great.

For me this video makes a perfect connection of theoretical engineering "basics" and the real world applications. I am a rather practically oriented guy who is very interested in the matter but struggles with the maths behind it. This video reminds me of why it's important to stay open minded to the (in my opinion) very dry theoretical and mathematical path in order to really understand what you are doing. Really great job Dr. Peter! (Unfortionally i won't spend 500$ for the rest of this lecture even though i'm sure it would be worth it in the long run.)

I've never seen such a clear explanation of modal analysis, very impressive!
