Islaam Se Pehle (Before Islam):
Islam se pehle, duniya ke mukhtalif mu'ashray mein aurat ka maqam bohat past tha. Jahan tak jahiliyat ke dor ka taluq hai, Arab mu'ashray mein aurat ko sirf ek chattel (maal-o-mata) samjha jata tha. Usse mardo ke liye ek asalaf ka zariya samjha jata, aur be-panah zulm-o-sitam kiya jata. Aurat ki qadr-o-qeemat kamzor thi, unhein merti waqt virasat mein hissa nahin diya jata tha. Zinda dafnaana jaise zulm bhi aam tha. Aur duniya ke mukhtalif hison mein bhi aurat ka maqam bohat past tha, jaise ke Greece, Rome aur Hindustan mein bhi unhe doosray darje ka shehri samjha jata tha.
