sulusan kiya h
that's battery problem. replace to the new one
i disconnect the charge flat and camera and the same problem is there already. I think, the problem is in my motherboard. i wash it with alcohol and let it for 1 hour. same problem here. i want to heat the charger chip but i want your opinion what should i do, thanks
Try to use an other USB cable. I've used 2 different USB cables, and with the 1 I noticed I get the problem, but with an other (older) cable I had I connected it to my phone, it charged for a while and when I pulled out, it was not flashing anymore.
solution?
change flat cable
Nemanja Djuricic what is a flat cable?
Check here all-spares.com/en/Flat-Cable-for-Samsung-I9100-Cell-Phone-charge-connector-microphone-with-components-rev-1.5.php
Nemanja Djuricic Thnx!
PlaystationQUAD don'y buy a flat cable. power button and side button for 10 seconds, just did it there for me.
HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM..??!!!! :(
can someone help me i recently installed cm11 on my glaxy player and when i plug it in to charge (its com[letely dead) it shows the little refressh sign then the grey battery and then just turns off and repeats that over and over again
I had a similar problem, the phone would turn on at all. When connected to the computer with the USB cable the gray battery icon would come up every 5 seconds.Flashing the phone didn't help. Then I found that one of the prongs inside the battery compartment came loose. It moved inside its housing. I took the phone apart and noticed that the prong was not attached to the motherboard. I used a soldering iron and attached it back to where it was supposed to be. It worked out well. The phone came back on. Hope it helps with your problem.
typical korean crap
change charging cable if not OK change front camra
You were right Philip, i had the exact same problem, i bought my phone pre-owned with the warning it had slight water damage, it was dead so managed to fix that (a small component had gone black and was un-soldered) but then when id shut it down it would battery loop over and over so changed the bottom usb board for a spare, worked like a charm :-)
its usb port problem! You need to replace it.Unscrew the backside and change the bottom board.

2 years without a problem...This week (a week after Guarantee expired!!) the same problem. Suddenly grey charging icon, won't turn on at all! F*** samsung and f**** apple I am going to by my selfe good old nokia 3100 if I manage to find one!!
Happened to me as well, exactly 2 years and a week after guarantee expired, told it was $200 to fix the phone, insane.
Got the same problem, tried to clean it out with a brush with no luck.. Its still fucked up.
Same problem bro
I had the same problem. I cleaned the usb port inside with a needle and blow some air with a small pump to remove the dust. Try this, it worked for me. If not go to a repair shop to change your usb port or clean it for you.

Have the same prob too...format didn't solve the problem... WTF is happening????
Thank you. I jiggled my way to SUCCESS... Gotta love happy endings. ; )
RIGHT. So far all the comments and solutions you lot have posted is BULLSHIT. Do not reset your phone, it does nothing, do not buy a new battery, it does nothing. I have tried those 2 things and i have updated the software to the new jelly bean format and still my phone wont turn on unless a charging cable is plugged in, whether its lose or connected to the mains. The only solution i can think is to replace the usb port which costs between £10-20 or buy the parts off ebay and fit them yourselve
I did that and still had the same problem. Took it to SPRINT and they told me it was a bad battery. Hmmmm....... so what do I do.... I go to eBay and buy me a new battery. Still waiting, but interesting enough for some magical unexplained reason the HIGH VOLTAGE fault has disappeared over the last three days and to my knowledge have done nothing different.
Hello! I have the same problem after 2 weeks not used the phone. But know i have replaced the battery and problem solved. When tried again the old battery the problem still exist, with new battery problem solved. Hope this will solve your problem!
Hello friends. TROUBLE SOLVED. I had the same problem for a week and now what i did was i connected the cable and slightly moved it up and down. Apparently the pin was touched and that's why the phone kept finding it as charging. The problem is solved now. Hope it helps you guys.
I just got this issue today. I updated from android version 2.3.6 to 4.0.3 like 3 or 2 days ago. And today while charging it, all of a sudden, the battery icon started to blink so I unplugged it and turned it off taking the battery off to and when I put the battery back on, it started doing what yours is doing on the video. SOMEBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS??? HELP..
i managed to sort of fix this by changing the battery and installing jelly-bean. The Over-voltage thing is still there but i don´t get any warnings or any huge battery drops so the phone is usable
The problem is something to do with battery over voltage
Same problem tried cleaning the usb but aint working sometimes it vibrates like hell and sometimes the battery icon blinks and samsung cant help me :(
Have a similar problem think it is the usb port
I had the same problem and fixed it last night. take a small brush and put alcohol and clean your usb port. then blow hair with the hair dryer...
I had the same problem.... I just slapped it and it worked about 10 mins later.... The slap probably didnt do anything. I just hope it doesnt happen again
the guy is right you should change PCB
Ready....!!! Cierran y listo... problema resuelto
Bullshit! same problem
This is happening to me too!! Its annoying as fuck and when i clean the usb port it sometimes does the same again, now my web browser is playing up aswell it keeps refreshing eventhough am not pressing refresh!! Please someone help? :(
Over 1wk now since I thoroughly cleaned USB port & its still working with no issues. My advise is to just gently clean out the USB with canned air and a flat metal object. Keeping my fingers crossed tht Ive corrected problem.
