It’s great to look back I’m a63 year old who remembers the old days 😁I hope all the people in your family film are all happy and healthy and having great lives
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your kind words. It’s fascinating looking back at these old films. I am the 8/9 year old boy with the white shirt in the film, & the 2 girls are my sisters. We’re all parents with grown up kids + a couple of grandchildren. Apart from the usual wear & tear, we’re all well & healthy, thanks; I hope you & yours are too. We are a close happy family & meet up regularly.
@@RezAnimates your welcome time just flies by 👍
The whole of Southall went to Walton
Ambler primary 4 life 🔥🔥
Sheeesh and to think my grandad was a teen living in Walton at the time
I was in this film as well as my brother, i think i was on the stage somewhere at the front 😁
I did actually take part in this one,I was a Conquistador though I can't see myself in it,I was 8!I have very fond memories of Mr.Cook.He taught me how to cut, edit & splice film & how to use a light meter. We made a movie for the British Museum about the rise & fall of Napoleon starting with the French Revolution & finishing with the Battle of Waterloo,I did the narration. He also taught me stop motion animation while we were making the film, fantastic memories, thank you so much for posting!
Hi Don- thanks for taking the time to comment. Thanks for sharing your memories. I was a Conquistador as well! I was 6. My apologies for not responding to your earlier comment; I've only just seen it & the others below.

Thanks for uploading ... ah memories!
Ahh great times. Before it was taken over by loutish teenagers and big rides. Went there many times in the 70's. Always a great day out when we were kids.
Filmed by Dennis Cook, a member of the teaching staff, on 8mm cine film.
Hi Eric- just as a point of correction, it was filmed by my (late) father, as were the other films on this channel. Were you at the school yourself?
RezAnimates No but my wife, then Miss Lloyd-Jacob, taught there prior to leaving a few months before the Aztecs event was filmed in 1968. Thank you for putting the record straight. Prior to your father, it was Dennis Cook who filmed the annual event. Thank you for posting the old films that brought back all these memories.
Does anybody remember Miss Lloyd-Jacob, one of the teachers who organised the event?
The queen,s birthday parade 🇬🇧💂
That's brilliant! Wonder if my family were there then lol. Can't see them in this but we go every year whether for a day or a week or two. Have done since around the fifties. Different generations have carried on the family tradition. Got a lovely picture of my Nan on the beach there from summer in either 1986, 1987 or 1988. Could be earlier. Dunno but won't be any later as she died in December 1988. In the year this was, my dad was ten, my uncle was 17, and my aunts were six and four. I think they used to go there at this time with my Nan's sister and her family. Nan's sister and her kids stopped going there after her husband died in 1978 but we carried on going. I first went at five or six months old in July or August 1985 and have only missed a couple of years there since. Lovely place
Hi Pixel8,do you have any more of these? This is my old school & my brother took part in this & I took part in one a couple of years later telling the story of the Battle of Hastings. The school did something like this every year to mark the end of the school year.
See similar film marking the first pageant of 1967 shot by Dennis Cook.
