Testing Reala Ace film recipe with Photo (jpg) and video! This new recipe just came out with fujis new firmware update for the xh2s. This was all filmed in one night in san diego. The video was lightly color graded with added halation. All photos were untouched. Straight out of camera. technic00ler

Using the fuji xs10 in a cinematic way! Took a weekend trip to Portland Oregon. These are some of my favorite shots I captured with my Fujifilm 16mm f1.4. I was also using the Tiffen ND filter, which has really taken my cinematography to the next level

The Helios 44-2 Vintage anamorphic lens was never intended to be used in las vegas nevada, but here we are. Was shot using my fuji xs10 with an m42 to x mount adapter. Do you think Film Recipe's can be as good as RAW photos and LOG footage?
For photos it's great. For video, nothing beats flog2. But in a hurry, i think it could work!
@@smartideas-pedro1690 I agree. If you dont want to color grade I think it can be used in certain situations
Reala Ace is the only film sim I like as much as F-Log and F-Log 2. It's reactive, in a very musical way. I just use it at the photo native iso of 160 and keep everything at zero except for ISO NR which I dial -4. It's an extremely hifi, nice, reversal kind of look, more like actually shooting Provia on film than the Provia film sim in my opinion.

Do you color grade every clip manually or all together?
Manually 😅 But if they are in the same location I usually just copy the grade and make slight adjustments

I want to get into videography. What aperture do you typically use for filming something like this?
I was using a zoom lens so minimum can only get to f3.5-5.6. But yeah usually try to shoot as wide open as possible

which film emulation did you use, and which lens ? thanks :)
@@mickimov Thank you! Hmm I switched up emulations I believe, but for some of the super blue night stuff I used Serr 500T emulation. The lens is fuji 16mm f1.4
It's really inspiring to see the 16mm1.4 used this way. The usual posts in RUclips focus on it's photography aspects, and challenging field of view especially since there's newer Fuji lenses. I've had a love-hate relationship with it even if I've had it for years and have some great shots with it. I'd love to see some photography and more of these short-calm films especially on the ordinary days. Great job!

Really like the shots with the silhouetted shadows and well exposed sky. That hotel was out of this world! How do you find using the 16mm 1.4? I use a 25mm full frame equivalent lens all the time for when I film. Btw I make short movies. Just filmed one following the journey of an aspiring painter in Sweden. I'd be really grateful if you could stop by thank you! :)
Those are my favorite shots too :) I really like the 16mm on APSC, it covers so much and really allows me to fill the frame and that's awesome I'll have to check it out

@@Technicooler I was contemplating if I should get the xs10 or the xs20. I’m just not sure if my mac m1 can handle editing files from the xs20. You did well on your films. 😊 subbed
