Just trying it out and it seems the usage is slightly different than the original Imgui. Single C variables referenced with & become GDScript Arrays. Guess that's the price to pay for not using C directly.
i tried using pankuconsole for those kinds of things, but having a imgui port seems much better

Oh my god the algorithm shows me this AFTER i went and made a debug ui and having to update the text labels all manually (thank you, this makes things substantially easier)

Why use imgui when godot itself has fully functioning ui system? I genuinely don't see a point
Quick Iteration time, while godot's UI module is target to the end user, IMGUI is used only for development/debug purposes, see how he created a table with only a few lines of code, if he used the godots ui module, sure, it would be nicer to look, but also, a custom debug solution, and therefore I can use the same question as you did, why create your own debug panel if IMGUI already exists?
I didn't explain the benefits in enough detail, so thanks for the feedback. As @Visnii shared, quick iteration and minimal extra code to debug your games. One more advantage is that ImGui is available pretty much everywhere, with many programming languages and game engines - So you can take the knowledge with you if you switch it up.
ImGui is pretty much the raylib of interfaces, I have seen wrappers for almost any language lol

Volume normalization would be good, I turned my speakers up for the first 19 seconds and just about fell out of my chair at 19-20 seconds.
