Haha wow, I’m literally sitting here writing in my journal the difference between artist and creative and how combining them to their allowed me to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. I’ve accepted that out of the two I’m an artist first. Because my artistry has allowed me to experience the depths of my self for the sake of self discovery. I realized throughout this journey, that I could take what I’ve learned about myself (strong passion for helping others with mental health awareness) can be used to solve problems via my children’s books. Going about it as an entrepreneur first only lead to burn out and chasing trends, trying to “beat the algorithm” attempting to “fit in”. My job wasn’t it to fit it or beat an algorithm, but to create. Crazy timing that once again affirms that I’m on the right path. Thank you for sharing your perspective. From one artist to another.

Why not both? Also, I think you can have art principles on businesses. Take luxury brands for example, some Rolex watches or designer clothes/furniture can be perfectly placed into art territory yet they work like a business.

That gifting of photos - honestly its a cheat code. I am not a good gifter in general, but one thing that works every time for me is printing out a photo of the recipient and giving it to them in a nice frame!

Nothing will ever compare to the feeling of holding your film photos after waiting for weeks! It’s like finding little treasures over and over. The anticipation and excitement is so strong that sometimes it’s hard not to peek at the digitals while you wait for the prints 😅
