If anyone still struggling, there is no trick. Just push down harder. For some reason they made this piece unreasonably tightly put in place.

In case the video isn’t clear enough, pinch the sides of the plastic cover that comes off. There’s a latch on the inside that comes undone when you pinch the sides, which lets you remove the cover and access the screws.
