Interesting that your efforts to haggle prices fell flat. As a native to the area I’ve never had issues settling on a fair price. As a whole I find that post show I end up being between 20%-40% below typical retail across the board on my purchases. I will say with Chicago on the heels of Xenia that I can understand dealers being less likely to offer more than 10% discounts on high end items.
You win some and lose some. We had a great trip and met some amazing people and bought WAY TOO MUCH as usual.
That cheering sound with the vacuum box scared the crap out of me with my earbuds, and I caused a scene at the YMCA, LOL. Nice find, and that late in the sale. Wichita feels like you have to be there on the first day and pay top dollar if you want anything.
Sorry about that. We normally don't get to go to estate sales so this was fun. He did literally thought I bought a vacuum instead I snagged a bunch of figures. Go wife!
