2020 UK Paddleboarding Compilation Video
Marc. Have you found any flat water in the upper reaches of the rivers you’ve paddled ?
What time of year did you paddle the Wye?
Your make such amazing sup content. Hope to see a new vid soon 😊
Paddled this loop many times in my Kayak. Brilliant video well commentated and loved the drone shots well done. Lost my paddles once at the pontoon they came out of my clip on the kayak. Luckily before I done anything silly a SUP guy came by with them on board. Muchly grateful. Wheres the pontoon in the drone shot? South West Water have closed the Bridge Road car park off now. I am 76 so the car park saved a lot of hassel. Wrote to the Exeter council to see if they could ask SWW to put ticket machines at the car park but didn't even get a reply. Closed off to the Plebs. Now😪
Hey, I can’t seem to find where you entered the river exe from the carpark near double locks? Cheers
Hi Marc I’ve noticed you’ve had a couple of different PFDs on your different trips which one would you advice to buy ? As that’s my next bit of kit .
That will be me soon . Can’t wait 😊
Cheers Marc really enjoyed your trip . I’m from Crediton just bought my first sup . Hoping to start on Tiverton canal . Have subd so i will be following you on the rest of your adventures 😊
2:16 paddleboarding starts
Hi Marc, just come across your videos and enjoying finding out different places to paddle. What tide times is best for the topsham to lympstone strip? Paul
Looks familiar!! 😁 Lovely paddle 🙂
Are u live exeter?
It was a brilliant trip, Marc and very well planned. Definitely need to do some more! One thing... you seem to have missed the rum off the kit list 😉
🤦 I wonder why 🤣
You like your bridges and bridge piers! Thanks for sharing your adventures
Love a bridge!! Thanks for watching 🤙
How long does this take to get to the pub?, thank you for the great video :)
Thank you!The basin to the pub is just under 2.5k so a relaxed paddle will take approximately 30-40miutes. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
Looked like superb conditions. I've wanted to do this one for a while, but waiting til I'm happy that I have the fitness. One question: How do you transport the drone on the SUP? Do you have a waterproof case for it?
Hi, I put it in a dry bag and launch it from the shore line. Too expensive to fly from the board. Knowing my luck I'd sink it 😅
Again, another great one. We're based in the midlands but staying in Fowey in September for a week and really looking forward to it.
Hey great video! I do loads of this and we've covered about 400 miles of canals. I'm always interested in other people's videos to pick up different techniques, etc. Have a look at this, See what you think. ruclips.net/video/K1MYXyxanXU/видео.html I've subbed you btw. Keep in touch matey. Good luck
Love Dartmouth
Nice one, I'll have to give that route a go soon. I also want to do Torquay to Dartmouth. Subbed in hope of seeing more from you 👊
I have just bought an inflatable paddle board, which I have tried out twice so far, with great success. The only problem, is carrying the board to the launch site (the North Sea) Although the board isn’t particularly heavy, it is a bit awkward to carry. I’ve been looking online for carrying straps and there are a few, ranging in price from less than a tenner, to some much more expensive... they seems too good to be true. Have you used straps to carry your SUP .. if so, which one did you buy ?
Hi Brian, my 13ft tourer came with a carry strap designed for it. Unfortunately I have no experience of third party ones but they are available. A trolley will work but it's down to if you trust leaving unattended. Let me see if I can find anything.
Nice board I nearly bought one of these but decided on the Irocker I’m used to kayaking so my first time on SUP hopefully I can get out tomorrow thanks for your uploads ✌🏼
Enjoy, where are you planning to go?
Such a shame this car park has been closed to public 🙁
Cool vid
Hi Marc, love the videos buddy and I've done the Budleigh, and Exe estuary/canal routes as a result. I'm also a big Hatha fan and have an Oxygen Curve that I love. I wanted to pick your brain about the Stride. I'm thinking of getting one and I think ive seen you on a Pace in another video. Just wanted to get your thoughts on the difference. Cheers now. Lee
Thanks for watching, glad my videos are of some use!! I have both the Stride and the Pace. The Stride I've had for over two years now. The Stride is set up for full on touring. Two sets of bungies, carry strap, 5 carry handles. I bought it after demo-ing the Red Voyagers (which are great boards) and then the Stride. In my opinion the Stride performs equally. The only difference being the board depth with the Stride being 6" deep. I couldn't justify at the time an extra £400 for extremely little difference. The Pace is great but I use that more for quick day sessions. It favours a kick pad over the rear bungie areas and I know the Oxygen has front and rear. Both great boards but imo if you were going to get another board I'd go straight for the Stride from the Oxygen. If you are local to me you would be more than welcome to try them out.
@@sup_devon_marc Thanks for all the info Marc, I would love to meet up and have a paddle out with you sometime and a try on the stride, very kind of you Buddy. I'm in Honiton and work in Exeter so I'm guessing we aren't that far apart.
@@leeindriks4011 no. I live in Crediton and work in Exeter. When I plan on going out weather permitting I'll let you know.
Fantastic Marc, lovely footage, especially the drone! It does look to be a lovely group to SUP with.
Hey, thanks for watching. It was a lovely day. The group is amazing. Just everyone having a good time.
Superb!
Cheers Derek!
Good job
Nice to meet you in Budleigh Mark, great video and what an incredible day to make this trip to Ladram! Nick
Hey Nick great to meet you too. Glad you had a good session on the water. By the time I got on it was REALLY bumpy!! Don't forget to check out the Exmouth group 🤙
Hi Marc, about 3 years ago we went on a trip on that canal from Exmouth to Exeter on board the Stuart Line. It'll be nice if I get a bash on the paddleboard when I'm on Holiday in a couple of weeks. Thumbs up on these vids mate!
Unfortunately this particular stretch has quite a bit of weed. The best section currently would be from the basin in the quay upto double locks pub.
Cheers Marc, yes I'll give that stretch a go. We're staying at Ladram, so loads of other places too!
Glad I came across Your Channel! We're staying at Ladram in a couple of weeks, and paddleboard is on order, so first time for me! Cheers and Subscribed....
Ahh thats great. It's a lovely stretch of coast. Massive thanks for watching and subscribing. Another vid coming soon.
@@sup_devon_marc Been there many times, and we also like Beer, so I'll try out that area too! Cheers...
Wowser! It doesn't get much better than that! 😎🏄🏽♂️🤙🏼
Cheers mate, hope you are well. Looking forward to meeting up at some point!
Best video yet for content. The backing music is much louder than you so a bit of volume levelling required!
Ok, weirdly I actually turned the music down and voice up in pre production. I'll keep an eye or ear on it!
Do you need a license to paddle board here?
No. The River and Canal come under Exeter Port Authority so no fee/license is required.
I can't hear anything because the music is to loud when he's trying to talk.
Apologies, the GoPro was muffled by some water in the mic which I didn't find out untill I got home. Personally I thought most of the audio was ear but I'll take note.
Looks great! 😎
Cheers mate,
Good times!
Nice to see you out buddy, looked a lovely calm stretch of river Ash
Thanks for watching mate, I need to do some kits videos to mix it up. I briefly spoke to Martin about getting the 3 if us together at some stage. Hope you're keeping well 🤙
@@sup_devon_marc yes definitely mate! Have a great weekend Ash
Great spot to paddle board ☺👍
Thank you, yeah it's been on my list for a while and it didn't disappoint. Thanks for taking the time to watch 🤙
@@sup_devon_marc just to let you know Devon was a regular holiday destination for dad in the 1960's as a child, and today we all live on the Tamar River in northern Tasmania. How's that! 🤗🤗😘😘👍

Boootiful! Love the vertical shots 😀
Thanks mate, need to get the other beach's filmed now.
An incredible morning that will take some beating. Thanks for the invite 👌🏻🤙🏻
No worries 🤙
LOVED the reflections 🤙🏻
Thanks mate, I was very lucky that day. So peaceful.
That swan!! 🤣🤣🤣
The gits getting worse, I'll need backup on my next paddle! 🤣
Great review, really informative and looked like bliss.
Thank you mate, yeah much needed 🤙
Constructive feedback if I may: The white balance on the video makes features such as slipways look too dark Tell us why we should come to Exeter and paddle on your lovely canal Do we need a permit or British Waterways licence?
Noted, thank you. I'm currently editing part 2 so I'll record a little update regarding those points. Thanks again.
Bloody swans! Always intimidated 😂 how I long for those longer summer evenings! Cool vid mate thanks for sharing Ash
Thanks for taking a look mate, this talking to the camera doesn't come easy.
I sooooo need to get out buddy, looked amazing 👌
Soon mate
Great paddles and great to make an appearance! Keep the videos coming! 😎
Thanks mate, always up for more paddles!
Some lovely looking paddles there mate! Makes me want summer to hurry along again now 👍🏼
Thanks, I'm dreaming of getting back in those board shorts. hopefully not much longer to wait!
