It was about the time of the Tracy Island that sound and light effects started to be a selling point; personally I didn't like them, it was taking away the fun of the kid doing the sound effects themselves. Baby, you should hear my Lightsabre! PPshhhT woomwoom..woomwoooom SHRAAAK! KRRKK! SHHRIIIK! Someone dismembered/decapitated... Woomwoomwoom... Psssht. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end...they still haven't in my house. 😂

Fantastic box of die-cast you have there mate. I kick myself regularly that I never took the chance to collect all the James Bond Corgi back in the day. Those toys were so cool! But I have been slowly getting a nice collection going over the past year or so. The Matchbox License to Kill set looks cool, how did I never see that before, I had loads of Convoy back in the 80's and am a massive Bond fan. Thanks for sharing (and inspiring my collecting bug 😂) 😊

Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Asda Shelf Stackerman...kids dress up costumes have really gone downhill nowadays. 😑 On the subject of Star Wars Overload, there just feels to be too much of it. That's not to say it's automatically bad or anything, I haven't seen a lot of it TBH, but there's just so much of it something really has to pop to get my attention or it just becomes a kind of SW flavoured white noise. I haven't gone off SW or anything, I'm just a lot more choosey that I was in the past! (In the mid/late 90s, I'd get almost anything SW related!) Anyway, that's my two penn'orth. 😁

Still adoring all things Star Wars, look at how everything has expanded in recent years and the volume of media we now have, it's wonderful!! There's so much going on right now within the industry on so many levels and following the politics and fan reactions is entertainment in itself!! If you don't like anything but your first childhood experience then sit and watch the theatrical cuts of the original trilogy and let others like what they want!! Every f**ker is so moany about the thing they should be getting pleasure from and feels the need to over explain/criticize every single idea when the writers and actually doing a good job in following their brief!! Some people have invested so much time and emotion in the franchise as a whole they feel like they have some kind of ownership of it and they kind of have as once you give this stuff to people it's theirs to do with as they wish but just enjoy it instead of being constantly offended by it!!!💚

Great video Marc. I have a couple of repro Corgi boxes, but they need to be kept in the dark as they fade quite quickly. I also have a repro Star Wars gun for my Squidhead figure, it's just for display and I would never sell it. But here is an interesting question, using Retro collection weapons with original figures? 🤔
