This is an explanation of how I chose to create my hastily constructed fighting positions. This is not necessarily to military standard but I feel like it accomplishes the goal of cover and concealment quickly, for a security posture of 12-24hr. Hope you learn something! This is a presentation on a critical part of any patrol… the GOTWA. This video is more of a Power Point style, I tried to make it as entertaining as possible for such a dry subject. If you like this type of video let me know and I will continue this series. #preparedness #adventure #study #tactics

What Is A Sleepy Ranger Card? | (And Why You Need One)
That VS-17 panel mod is F’n genius.
Good to see you back. Thanks for the helpful info. Will you do a video on cold weather gear or give your recommendations?
Solid Info .. Hope you're still going to make that video on different ways to utilize a Whistle.
Great info!
Will a new video come out soon?
Always wear the xa mids I just wish they were normally laced
The things REMF’s do.
these shoes were the first salomons i ever bought(goretex version), and ive been wearing them for a year, and they have been great. i wanted a new pair recently, and decided to buy a new pair. i did some research, and saw alot of people say that she shoes made before 2019 were the best because in 2019 salomon was sold to chinese company, and quality went downhill. although i was fine with the quality of the boots i bought in 2023 i was curious to see what the quality of the old version quest forces were like. i went to ebay, and to my surprise there was a market for these old quest forces. new condition they go for the same price as a brand new 2024 pair from salomon. looks like alot of people know about the condition desparity, and decided to buy the old ones. i bought a pair from 2014, and this version had the rubber all around the toebox with the q on it. i can say that it is much better quality than the new quest forces. it feels like it has much better support, the rubber is on alot more of the toebox, and the footpad is a dream to step into. it feels like your stepping on a pillow. i think from now on im going to buy the old school quest forces.they also come in alot cooler colors than salomon offers there quest forces in right now.
Great review Sir! I have 4 pair of the Quest 4D Forces 2, 2 with Gore-Tex and 2 without. They're my go-to boots for riding my motorcycle because of the toe protection, ankle padding, and grip. For the extended laces, I just double knot mine.
>recce loadout >combat patrol how autistic are you?
Short recap: fray the edges for better concealment then put cat eyes on it so you can be seen better😮
Day/Night
hey Dude, I hope you will have some clips soon, think positive, you will succeed do not give-up, hence you are the only tuber with this type of clips, give some time but do not give up, that's my advice
thanks brother!
Any new videos coming out soon?
How did my dumbass get here 😂
What is her Instagram she’s cute
Where can i get the first hat?
Looking for direct contact info for you (email)
Salomons are the GOAT. I have the Goretex Versions in Black. Wore them Backpacking all over Germany for three months. However, the Toecap began to separate and the wear on my treads is a lot in some places. Yesterday Salomon honored my warranty and sent me a voucher with free shipping for a new pair which I got brown. Only thing I’d say is the sizing is strange. I wear a size 10.5 for Vans. I personally along with other guys who have Salomons always need to size down usually a whole size unless you have wide feet. Even with thick socks and sizing down to a 9.5 from a 10.5 I have more than enough room.
Thanks man. My bates lites are ruined and I think I’m set on these. Your vid sold me. Semper
Curious about your thoughts on the Garmin Instinct Solar watch. I was looking into that exact same model. Do you find it to be bulky or cumbersome as some smart watches are? Also what do you think about the battery life? Do you charge it with a cord every day? I like the idea of having the route planner built in.
@@jonmabe not at all, it’s perfect tbh. has so many features and is very compact. not overly fancy either. I work out and train in mine 24/7 after about 3 years it’s still going strong 100% recommend over any other watch
👍🏻
Nice shorts. Where u get em?
I think zulufoxtrot makes some similar I'm sure you can just search tiger stripe soffe shorts or something like that.
James Reeves left them in his bedroom.
Excellent info - thanks for posting.
We used to make a pouch from a kind of fabric lume material, tape it up, leaving one side open and stick an ice scraper (the flat kind) in it. The ice scraper was roughed up with fine sand paper and could be written on with pencil. Two writing systems in one.
I already know how to use hand signals, I'm just here to give an upvote for that thumbnail. lol. Best use of that meme I have ever seen.
@@DaveSmith-cp5kj thanks!
hey, when is your next episode on RUclips, looking forward to see!!
@@kamlaky I have been super busy dude! I will try to get one out this week!
@@LongLiveAppalachia Still waiting dude!
Why trim it
@@ImBatman700d after you wear it for a while it becomes frayed on the ends and just adds camo and breaks up your outline better!
@@LongLiveAppalachia ok thanks
ALWAYS, ALWAYS have a backup weapon with Xtra clips, Always.
Good content, but audio is REALLY quiet
You mixed up freeze with halt. Freeze is a closed fist.
Nope, that’s our SOP
Well explained, Looking forward to your video on signaling/communicating with a Whistle
I can't hear you very good
The sound is a bit poor, cannot hear much, Also how hot was the digging part, was it sweating and tiering?
ofc the sound is bad i’m doing it for free and like 300 views 💀, yeah hot asf in the summer
Great Vid, Subscribed, please continue with great videos- From Australia
Thank you!
Great vid - thanks for posting. Subscribed!
Thank you!
I've dug lots of holes on the Blue Ridge, specifically Chestnut Ridge. It is some terrible soil to get through. The Appalachians are the land Etools go to die. I might rather be shot than dig a fox hole up there.
So true lol
For the long laces the tongue has a purpose designed “lace garage” built into it to tuck the excess lace into (the little elasticated pocket on the outer part of the tongue)
Looking forward to your video on signaling with the Whistle. Your Leatherman Wave has a built-in Dummy Cord attachment point, there is a lanyard ring that pulls out of the slot the saw folds into.
This is a old hand and arm Signal to bring up the squad leader . Guys would do this in Vietnam.
exactly
Love the loud music over whatever he said.
me too
Keep the great content coming. What do you think about tops/ field shirts such as the IHWCU or BDU top? I only have BDUs, not the IHWCU so I can't compare them.
Ya this is like every navy seal saying we have the hardest training let me show u how we do this! 😂😂😂 every person on youtube now knows your tricks..... let me show you how to defeat me without u ever meeting me
You’ve never trained have you buddy
this doesn’t even make sense
How do you defeat hand signals?
@@mightylaidlow1 pop smoke!
Great video!
remember the most important part of your gear is YOU, so keep up the training
REAL often forgotten
keep up the content, ive thought about buying the old usmc and army handbooks to freshen up on my knowledge
Do it!!
Good content. Inspires me to go hiking and get outdoors. What do you think about the ihwcu pants opposed to the bdu pants?
hot weathers a way better for sure, don’t mess around w BDUs
What about tops/ field shirts? Thank you for the helpful content. This does give some ideas of what to pack for hiking.
good stuff. i've got a similar setup geared toward my radio kit.
Squared away
My man! I'm liking the channel. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks bro! your channel looks sick too dude! i’ll check it out
@LongLiveAppalachia thanks, big things coming this fall.
Cool Video!
I saw the video on the hiking boots and thought it was good. What clothing items would you recommend? I noticed that you use the ihwcu pants. Will you do a review on them? I just subscribed. Keep up the great content
Yeah really enjoy the hot weathers! Cheap at surplus stores and are very durable. Extremely comfortable after you break them in and great pockets. I really don’t have too many clothing recommendations besides Darn Tough socks and ranger panties as underwear (cotton kills). Just durable outdoor type clothing from a reputable company. You get what you pay for. Id stay away from companies like TruSpec, Propper, 5.11 etc. Buy one really nice pair of something, then use the hell out of it.
Thank you for the recommendations. Will you do future videos on gear whether it be clothing items, hats, bags, or boots?
yes
