Quick change out of the stock zebra strings that I have been running since November. Strings lasted a few thousand arrows and could honestly still run them but decided to swap them out with some gas ghost xv strings.

First 3d shoot of the year and first ever actual 3d shoot competition I’ve ever done. It was really hard to get footage with all the people walking around and in the way but next weeks video will be better and have more because I will have a camera man. Just the ethics outsert system. It’s a post and sleeve system. A little on the pricey side but hold up well

Nothing wrong with Vtac at all. I bought them for my v3x and they did not fly good at all out of it because the aggressive cam, I should have gotten a stiffer spine and I’m sure they would have been fine

It was actually a 301. I was way off. They have me down at 301
I shoot the V3X and love it. I have it in granite wt gas strings in flo orange wt gun metal servings. Total peep tech grip hamskea epsilon rest made for mathews. New low pro 1pc 5 arrow quiver. Conquest control freak pro stabilizers wt the smacwrap tech they are micro 12 up front wt a qd and a lower back bar wt a 10 inch wt a qd. I have the spot Hogg fast Eddie xl wt a shrewd optum 35mm scope wt a shrewd rod for adjustments and a 4 power shrewd lens. The engage limb legs. I shoot a stan shootoff TL thumb button wt Easton axis 5mm arrows. Cool review and the bow is only 2 years old.
The gas strings will make it come back to spec. I use gas high octane strings on my V3X. And they are awesome. Better then the threadz strings on my bowtech REVOLT and they are ok. Nice bow enjoy it
I’ve been using gas strings for a while. Gave them a shot when they came out and not so good but now they are the only strings I will put on my bows. This bow is going to shoot brand new with the gas strings

lol because my wife would murder me with it after she see how much I paid for it but really I plan on having one setup by next years 3d season. I’m just testing the waters this year with 3d
Nice, recently I ordered an unused halon x comp and building it for 3d/indoor. Gonna try running it at 50 lbs to save my arm shot a lot at 60 and 70lbs and have to take long breaks between days of the week to keep shooting. Love the look of the bow m8!
I was looking for a good quality or new halon x but couldn’t find any. I love the halon series bows.

No im in Indiana I just support those guys at seek one because they are really good guys but yea man start small and price together that shop and you won’t regret it.

Awesome just piece it together a little at a time and I’m glad I can help.
Even if you perfectly match the arrow weights, there are more factors that play into being able to keep the same sight tape. Had the same problem, tried the same thing switching from 6mm arrows to 5.2mm arrows and from bohning vanes to TAC vanes. At the identical weight, I gained around 6-7 yards on my current sight tape at 50 yards. Having left / right difference to your 4mm arrows might mean you need to re-tune your bow / arrow rest to the thicker arrows.
I know that but I was hoping to get away with it. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it’s not even close

I want to but that’s a big investment all at once. String builders are a very unique group of people.

Nice shop setup
I do shoot some in the wind( Texas panhandle) but I find I want to punch the thumb button so I can hopefully hit the target spot lol. All of which is detrimental to good technique. But some local shoots and ASA events have the wind. I have a setup at my home where I can stand in the garage out of the wind and shoot to about 90 yards. Luckily, this allows me to seriously work on my form and technique. 👍👍🏹👀
I noticed that myself shooting in windy days. It’s hard not to punch
I used the Carter Quickie Plus trigger for years and years. A long time ago an older archer taught me how to set it up and learn to pull thru the shot versus using my finger to command/punch it. Was a major game changer. No more drive by firing. I learned to be able to hold on target and just pull. It’s my backup now. I have used the Wise Choice for about 6 years now. The newer model has no travel,it’s really zero on my unit, but tension adjustment only. I use it exclusively. But, I have to say one summer I used the hinge Total Control and actually shot my PB 3-d ASA score ever with it. I mess with it now and then just to stay in tune with it. I think the blackout might not be good for new shooter’s because it is so hard to make it fire thus people could easily get into the punching habit. Many new shooters aren’t in archery shooting shape and can’t hold back very long at all which would help in learning to punch.
I leaned on the blackout link and it made me want to upgrade right away though.

That really hard to do in today’s market. Majority of archery products are made over seas but I agree with that comment. I’m a union worker and I try my hardest to be American and buy American.
Tip from Arrow Junkie channel. Glue in your inserts before you install the nocks. Install nocks after everything has set so you don't have to worry about the air getting trapped.
I do remove nocks because trapped air pressure pushes out the inserts or points
I have the same trufire release just watch the set screws that hold the moon tight will strip very easily other than that great release.
Have some vtac 23s on the way, also want to try the altra 23s
Goodluck finding altra. I would personally just stick with victory. Victory makes the best arrows in my opinion.

So I built a similar set of arrows ps23s same vane with 150 up front and I was getting a 6”ish group at 60yards then I when to 120grain points and got that group down to 3” group at 60.
Different arrows will clock different ways out of your bow. It’s not the bow it’s the arrow
It’s the twist of your string and serving that clocks the arrow.

Pro tip with the AAE vanes if you use purple PVC primer you can use whatever glue you want. Those “primer pens” are just acetone. Save yourself money buy a $3-$5 thing of purple primer and gorilla superglue with the brush
I’m switching to straight acetone after this pen.
I’ve found wiping the base of the vane and shaft with 91% alcohol works just as effective as the expensive primer pins. And Gorilla brand instant adhesive. Why literally waste money on a $13-15 primer pen. It’s NOT NEEDED IMO. 23’s are a good 3-d shaft size all around. The drift a light wind ( 15 mph or less) is minimal even with the larger Stealth vanes.
I agree with that. The pens are crazy expensive and also hear you can just use acetone or a stronger alcahol. I’m going to try it next build because I go through a lot of primer pens.

Thats surprising, I've always had great interactions with ultraview's customer service. As far as altra idk, seems like they grew big really fast and cant keep up with demand yet.
Yes they blew up when Levi joined and can’t keep up with demand which is understandable but you can’t to a give away if you don’t have any product to give away.
@Verticalbowoutdoors yeah I totally agree, and I'm sure giveaway winners are not top priority to get product to since there is no profit. Which isn't right on their end. I can imagine the giveaway advertisement gained them a ton of business. Would like to know what happened with ultraview if you don't mind sharing.

I want to try but really depends on my work schedule. I’m in a trade and never know what job I’m working or what hours I will be working but would love to get out to a tac event.

I just built a set of vtac 23's and they shoot amazing just getting into 3D myself I still haven't went to a shoot yet I bought a TRX 34 brand new setting it all up for 3D don't want to use my hunting bow I have a lift 29.5 and a phase four 29 I figured I'd give it a try if anything you make me a better shot for hunting
I use my hunting bow for 3d. I want to build out an actual 3d bow for next season. I’m just getting started into it but it’s addicting for sure.
FOC EXPERIMENT : Fill the arrow shaft tube with Great Stuff Gaps and Cracks spray insulation foam. Red can. Same arrows one unfilled one filled. I clear JBWeild one and done.
looks like your hitting the trigger a little maybe try to go up to like 3 yards from target and shoot with your eyes closed and really focus on squeezing through your shot helped me a lot

I did. I messed that up good. I added an extra 11 rushing through it. They corrected it as well.
