I just saw some idiot posting a Henry ford meme talking about how he was such a “great” man and was the creator of the minimum wage we all enjoy now so it wasn’t government control that implemented it and shouldn’t be in control of it. It was CAPITALISM that made the minimum wage. CORRECTION YOU NUMBSKULL. Ford made a “minimum wage” to kill off his competitors and guess what his next step was??? Dropping his workers wages and taking in the profits. Fed minimum wage stopped that kind of thing from happening and creating an easy monopoly for the rich in ALL markets. Now then came he fired those workers he had hired under practice he started and would increase work hrs based on a daily wage vs an hourly. So minimum wage made that ILLEGAL to lower someone’s wages that you have increased as an employer. Well we’ll just fire them and hire new people!!! “For a lesser wage too!!!” Up pops unemployment on them 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Fed minimum wage and unemployment wouldn’t exist if corporations and the evil they become didn’t do such horrible things to the working class

I was playing in a club in Seattle and he was to appear the next night. Soupy and his wife stopped by the night we were playing and came up to the stage with the club owner and soupy‘s wife. Before he made it to the stage Dave, the leader of the band said it’s too bad we don’t know any of his old bits. So I said well there’s one joke he told that got him in trouble. Dave said what’s that? It went something like “ I took my wife to the ballpark. I kissed her between the strikes and she kissed me between the balls.” Was that a mistake. Soupy is now standing on the dance floor right in front of me with his wife right behind him. Dave repeats the joke that I just told him. Soupy gets mad and says to Dave, “ I never said that.” He then turns to me looking right up at me says “What do you think I’m stupid? My childhood hero hates me and I didn’t do a thing. 😂🙏

Everyone in high school loved him, too. ❤ The teenagers at my school were shocked when they took his TV program off the air, I believe, due to an obscene joke that was told on his tv program. The joke was funny, but it was too rasque for a kid program. "My girl knows how to keep me happy because she knows how to make my banana cream."- was the joke, he told. After he said that on his children show, the show was canceled. What he had said was the talk of my high school, and everyone was talking about it. We teenagers were in shock, but we expected it would happen sooner or later. All the teenagers watched his show, because we thought he was so cool and funny, even thought it was a kid show; he told adult jokes, that had double meanings; that was usually over the children's head. Tongue in cheek jokes. We loved him 😅. He was like a "Big Kid" that you wanted to love. 😂😅😊🥰 "Soupy RIP" 🎉❤❤❤

One of my favorite movies. The Dudley Moore scene with the blow up dolls is a classic. I’m really glad I’m old enough to remember these politically incorrect movies as they were way more entertaining than what we have today. Don’t forget Mel Brooks and Blazing Saddles, etc. People today are taught to be offended by everything. This just envelops all movies, art, etc with insufferable blandness.
