why dont you measure with google earth its way easier to look at the building from all sides
Which wire is positive, and which is negative?
What about using Type S for joints?
was the base concrete casted directly on soil?
Good questions
At last! A video that explains this project in terms I understand, and at a pace that lets me see exactly what's involved. I'm 83 and determined to lay flagstone from the back gate to the back door, only about 10 feet. I've dug a 35" trench out of the grass-covered gravel; now it looks like I need borders, stakes and crushed stone. Thanks for the help!
My only advice to all of those starting in this business pease please take care of your safety and your employees. I’ve done this for 17 years and we use harnesses and we make sure all of our ladders are checked and certified before anything. Good luck y’all
Thanks. So many companies do the Christmas light. Do you think is there free space for this business?
Hey Alex. What do you think
@@lawnandlight I thins now so many people are going to this business.
@Alex.BestFilmmaker Depends on your city, if it's big you're good.
Any tips on doing this solo for the first year? Not a ton of experience on roofs. Worried about safety and getting on tall roofs/ 2 layered roofs
Go slow. Be careful. Develop your skill level. It’s not a race. Main thing is that you go home each day. Don’t do a job that terrifies you
You can do this solo for sure. I did about 90ish houses solo in a year but after that was when I got a helper the following year cause I was swamped. Take your time, get proper gear like cougar paws for roofs. If you're scared, that's when you need to stop because that's when people get hurt. Do a ton of research and figure out all the ins and outs of it
@@lawnandlight Awesome! Great mindset. Would you say a ridge pro or goat is needed for solo work? If so, which one would you recommend
@bl1352 I always brought someone. You get hurt you don't want to be alone.
For my stake lights I add Rubber-O Socket Seal Rings to prevent moisture intrusion which cuases corrosion.
Great idea
so is this the only way to install these lights in places where it can snow. we dont get much in the midwest
Heck yeah! Dropping knowledge here! #ChristmasLights
Thanks for watching. Are you gearing up for your season?
Love this guy!
Thanks for being here brother
Question, is the display supposed to stay on after the truck is turned off?
I don’t think so
thanks! saved me a ton of time...
Paul Wlaker still alive
Lol
Great video man it literally took me less then 15 minutes to do it all.
How deep did you dig the trench? Would 7” be ok?
Should be
That would not work in colder climates!!! It'll heave 100%!
Good comment. It works in hotter climates
What if you have some smaller and younger trees that you don’t want to drill a hole in. What would be a good alternative to attach to? I was thinking a Velcro strap all the way around the tree, that has a loop or hole for a carabiner. Thoughts?
That’s not a bad place to start
what is the app or program you use to drag the corlored lines on the roof during the planning stage ?
Just a simple paint program on Mac
Where can I hire u for this kind of flagstone work to get done on my front yard ? I live in Austin,TX
We don’t travel that far. Good luck on your project
I came here wondering what type of attachments to thr trees would work but I got so much more including some laughs. Will we got to this extent? No. Did I watch the whole video? Yes. Thank you!
lol. The RUclips rabbit hole got you
Mine are way out of hand. As tall as the highline wires and branches all the way to the ground there are two of them side-by-side one has dead branches and it is now almost June. I bought this older house in an acre of ground a year and a half ago and didn't really know what a crepe myrtle was. Should I wait till winter should I cut it all off about chest high and just deal with the knees. Help
Wow, that turned out great. I'm getting things ready to take on a similar project, replacing an existing walk.I will definitely be referencing back to this video several times over. The one issue I have is calculating the amount of flagstone I will need. I've asked the hardscape dealers, but they can never give a straight answer.
If they can’t give you a good estimate I would find a supplier that can. Or pay a service guy to come out and plan your materials for you.
Love the setup looking to do something similar this looks way more busy effective
It’s super effective
Subscribed. I realize this is 3 years old, but I hope you see this. I wished I'd seen you first. I nred help. We put in a Flagstone walkway (not on concrete) just dug and made sure we had a slope and reinforced on each side. We filled with sand and gravel. I'd say it's about and inch apart from Flagstone to Flagstone...problem is...the sand washed away as it rained. Please dont tell me I need to pull everything up and start over again.😢
Simple solution - may not work but worth a shot. Vaccuum sand out from cracks, fill cracks with decomposed granite and pack down with a broomstick handle
@@lawnandlight // thank you so much. That sounds much easier than starting completely over.
Is it okay too cut the line when its plugged in, as long as you havent plugged the first strand in?
Yes as long as there is no power in the line
Very neat! quick quesiton, which method would you say is best? Mortar method or this one? why would people prefer DC method and not Mortar?
Less work
Thank you. Although I think I finally got it right, I now know more than I did before. I appreciate you!!!!!
Excellent!
Sirve también para afilar cuchillos o sólo para cuchillas de cirtadora de pasto?
I’m sure you could but probably not as effective
Knew there would be a few Pablo's on the job HA
Always
The “little bit extra” is damn right!
lol.
I really enjoyed your video and your tips. I'm just a homeowner who is planning on doing a small walkway from my porch to the driveway and I have never done anything like this before so it was a big help thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Just go to a junk yard and pull a factory brake controller out thats what i did
When i plugged it in (curt, with etrailer pigtail), and connected a 7 pin tester to my rear plug, the BK light was constantly on, instead of 12V...and nothing else came on when pressing the manual brake lever... What cpuld be the reasons? 2018 f150, all factory wiring (as far as i know)
Great Video! so there is no need for programing?
Im looking at pro stance 32 in used 80 hours at $5500. Do you recommend this mower
Thank you! This video is going to change the way I install my X-Más lights!
Glad I could help!
You have to put an expanded metal basket underneath the side of the truck to hold all fuel cans not inside the trailer and I would also take the truck to the Ziebart have him spray the entire inside with the liner that you put in a pick up truck bed if you pay for the professional it will last more than 20 years and then if you have a fuel spill you just put laundry detergent and a broom. hose it out?
Great ideas. Are you looking to buy one of these trucks?
For sale. Email turfprecision@gmail.com if interested. 38k miles, gas engine, $65k
First year starting a Christmas light business. How should we recruit and hire for such a short season?
You shouldn’t need much labor your first year. Learn and do the process first so you can teach it. Document everything for training. Pay above market if you want to attract seasonal workers.
Great video!❤. Hope to get into Christmas Light Service for next year! God bless❤
Will these go thru a 12’ high garage door?
Yes. 10’6” tall. It’s for sale, if your interested email turfprecision@gmail.com
how do you store your strips with ridge clips??? those clips hang up oneverything
That’s a great question. They are like little spider legs that grab everything. How do you store yours?
Suggestion/Question for the power supply cord. Based on where your wall outlet is located, wouldn't it have been better to run the power cord straight up to where you put in that jumper and then power that one segment right-to-left across the garage, then go left-to-right for the rest of the roof line? Basically you would have been supplying power into the middle of the run instead of the end. Would have made the power cord run a lot shorter and less wire to hide.
That’s definitely an option
I installed the oem ford one. Was cheap and easy. Program it using forscan keeping my truck looking original. But that a good 2nd option for those that can use forscan
👍🏼
I’m ordering from here for next year 🎉🎉🎉❤
We will take great care of you
Amazing!!
Thanks for watching.
How would you hang “icicle” lights from a metal roof - “standing-seam”.
