The main problem with Greiff is that he was a DP. You should never waste a DP slot on GK. Even having Alba on a DP is sorta a waste. A LB?

Could be the problems be that you dismantled the roster too much? Yes you lost Busquets and Messi, but you also got rid of 1/2+ the team between seasons. Isn't that too much turmoil?

dont blame the game dont blame the team you r in control, and dont seem to know what you are doing learn the game and the tactics that work and why they work before you randomly move players and hope it goes well. not saying this to bring you down but in hope before you get frustrated with the game you just learn a bit more how everything works and can enjoy it again instead of quitting

Trust me, once you get the gist of MLS registration rules, you get an extra layer of fun (and pain) that you can't experience in other leagues. What you want to do above all else is have as many contracts as possible "brought down" with general allocation money, to give you more space in the salary cap for extra or higher contracts. In the registration window, when you right click on a player and go to contract, you'll see the "buy down salary cap impact" option, which lets you use allocation money to make that contract cheaper in terms of the salary cap. You can't do this with every contract in the squad (senior minimum salary are already as low as they can be, and designated players have their own cap impact rules already in place), but do it with as many as you can. Don't worry about spending a lot of your allocation money, this is quite literally the most important use of it!
