Thanks for posting this-you reminded me of how much I love it when the train stops at Dawlish and you can see the sea for the first time;---sigh. So you went from Paddington to where:> which trains did you take to get there? I'll meet you in Dawlish someday! ;-). I would go to London (now dreaded sister lives there) and visit and then take train from London to St Erth, and the beautiful local to St Ives. Wish you could take tthat- it's a short but gorgeous ride-I'm sure it's on You Tube somewhere.
