WTBS 17 Atlanta Emergency Broadcast System Test 1991 (GOOD QUALITY)

When I first uploaded this back on June 15, 2021, I recorded the EBS on my 3DS Camera through my 1987 RCA CRT TV XL-100 EPR295E, because back then, I didn't have capture cards or anything to record this in very good quality, But I did have time to go and make a DVD-R recorded of this, put the disc in my PC, and screen recorded it through OBS, So for the first time in three years, This EBS is finally been digitized.

This is from Episode 6 of the short lived Drama, Mariah, A 1987 ABC show that was produce by New World Television, that only last for 7 episodes before it got cancelled, due to low ratings. One of the commercials I saw was for the Pocket Monsters Board Game which was released by Tomy in 1997 in Japan and then was released in the United States as Pokémon Master Trainer in 1999 by Hasbro through Milton Bradley.
3:10 Given that this commercial aired after the infamous seizure scene, I can just imagine the song “I Don’t Want To Set The World on Fire” playing in the background of this commercial instead.

Kitaro sounds like Michael Kovach and I don’t like that one bit
Michael Kovach was 13 years old when this English dub came out in 2008, Back then, he didn't do voice acting until the mid 2010s. To me, Kitaro's voice sounds like Todd Haberkorn, since his voice in this film sounds similar to his other anime roles. The other two voices that I recognize from this dub were Chuck Huber as Kuko, since his voice is the most recognizable if you watch too many anime dubs, and Chris Cason as Madama-Oyaji (Kitaro's father), Due to his voice as Madama-Oyaji sounds similar to his role as Babbit from Kodocha.
@@braydonrushingI think Kitaro is Todd Haberkorn as well. It sounds so familiar. It’s too bad the dub cast is uncredited. In a way, it kinda makes sense though. This feels like a passion project.
Finally SuperStation TBS played an EBS test with the sound effects!
I suspect this was recorded off their local Channel 17 Atlanta feed. I believe the attention signal was only sent over the local signal and NOT over the national satellite feed. Other videos recorded from that (including on instance I personally watched live) have silence where the attention signal would go.
@ Yeah but either way it’s a great thing that SuperStation WTBS had an EBS test with the attention signal whether it was a local feed or national! All other ones that were uploaded on RUclips were the ones without the signal which didn’t look right at all thinking it was the networks fault or vise versa!
I assume this was not shown on the national superstation feed.

Even the commercials are pretty flashy. While they weren't the main culprit in the seizures, it certainly didn't help.
The flashy imagery was especially apparent during the trading card game commercial and the Team Rocket music album promotional ad.

There was more commercials after the Episode 39 preview which this recording didn't include. I've only read about it but the three commercials afterwards were for a Pokemon desk, McDonald's commercial and Harvest Moon on Gameboy which I think came out the Friday after this episode aired.
