13:00 Something I noticed at the gym today was how much my thoughts have started to sound like advice I have heard before. It's only when you get to a certain point that alot of the advice you didn't fully understand at first starts making more sense. As badly as I want to share with people my thoughts on how to move toward a better life, the only way I can think to explain it is so abstract that it's only once you've done it yourself that you know what people were talking about. Like you said, clarity in hindsight.

I lost a lot of the desire to be "cool" as I detached from social media. It's been about 2 years with the closest thing being YT and I'm only ever becoming more compelled to not have my phone on me at all. The upsides of this tech are thoroughly lauded, but it's wild how much of a trap it really is. We've been sucked up into a simulated alternate reality and it's distracting us from the real one. Of course I spelunk wikipedia like a mad man for fun wondering if anything I'm reading is true so what do I know.

I'm an amateur musician and I just released a couple of songs to a small circle of my family and friends. I'm already regretting the decision and can't stop imagining people ridiculing me for being so pretentious and cringy. For this reason, I'm glad I ran across this excellent video. I really want to work through these feelings of embarrassment and, with time, muster up the courage to go back into the recording studio and continue trying.
