I forgot to mention you can completely remove the safety and the marker works fine. This was my original plan, since the added step of charging the CO2 takes such a deliberate effort, but I then realized having a safety is better.

    any idea where to get the 3d model of the mag? I'm pretty sure that I can print it way better and more sturdy with an X1C Carbon at a 0.12mm line height and with PA6-CF filament - if anyone has the 3d model please reply to this comment I would love to purchase it

    • @BonesDT
      @BonesDT Год назад

      The first mag (12g, 8-round) is the OEM aluminum mag for the outdated Tiberius T8.1/T9.1 markers. Those mags are out of production and not readily available anymore. As an alternative 12g (albeit only 6-round), I recommend Grimburg's OEM FSC mags that are modified to fit 12g carts (~$100). These are still factory mags, so fit and reliability is still 100%. The 2nd mag in the video is a 3d printed version of the T8.1/T9.1 12g mags (instinctindustries.com/shop/carbon-ghost-mag (~$50)), which I bored out myself to cram a 16g cart. Since this video, Cymrutec (www.cymrutec.com) has become a big player in oversized 3d printed mags, so I recommend his for 16g and higher mags.

    The stock FSC barrel is garbage the bore is oversized for the joules that we use so there is a ton of air blow by. I know this is an older video but hopefully someone sees this and it helps. 2 things to change immediately on the FSC for less lethal are the magazine to a 12g mag and that terrible barrel throw in the trash and get a 686 bore size barrel the FSC becomes a far better launcher with just those 2 upgrades. After that hey why not change out the bolt spring, sear spring with VKS spring and sear spring. Then do a PRV delete and milsig o-ring and you’ll have yourself a nice launcher for self defense.

    Does it fire off sometimes without pulling trigger? Does shooting the recycled projectiles make a difference from the new?

    • @BonesDT
      @BonesDT Год назад

      Yes, all these markers have the propensity to shoot without touching them. They aren’t Glocks. Once you puncture the CO2, be ready to destroy whatever it’s pointing at. The high pressure can overcome the sear and shoot on its own. I’ve recycled the rounds hundreds of times and they are brand new but I always shoot at a soft trap. Might be different story if your shoot at metal cooking pans. The actual gun firing and barrel do no damage to the rounds.

    • @BonesDT
      @BonesDT Год назад

      It’s not recommended. I have stored a punctured co2 for a few days and it seemed to be fine, but too risky to rely on. Some other markers puncture on the first trigger pull, but the First Strike platform outweighs that benefit.

      @@tomackerman8447 yes 68 cal. The puncture procedure is not ideal but there’s really no better alternative. Remember, these markers are manufactured as literal toys. What’s a “doner”? If you mean can you put a 8g co2 cartridge in a 16g mag, only with an adapter like the ones Cymrutec makes. Also, 8g carts have thicker heads so you have to make sure you are using a valve from a FSC mag and not a valve from a T8.1 mag. T8.1 mag valves only fit 12g carts. Period.

    • @BonesDT
      @BonesDT 2 года назад

      I believe it's the air overpowering the trigger mechanism. These aren't regulated firearms like Glocks. They WILL discharge spontaneously without touching the trigger. They are NOT safe with the trigger safety engaged. In order to render these markers safe, the magazine should be released, which will disconnect the air pressure (assuming you are not using a remote tank). Always point these markers downrange when there is air in them. Check out The Less-Lethal PSI Defence Channel's solution to double-up on the strings in the trigger mechanism: ruclips.net/video/nTojEoPC3ys/видео.html.
