Don’t work so hard. Spray your rv with castor oil and water mix( mole be gone). The mice will stay away for 3 months. Moles leave your yard for the same amount of time.

Looks good, i just did 39' fleetwood trailer what a job, i used the 4" & 6" on it was expensive even on amazon, the roof is original all the white is gone it is completely black & very messy do even though the got all the eterna bond on sides front n back around skylight much is mared with black rubber but really font care its the top of roof its purpose is to stop the leaks which had some r/f & r/r, its too expensive to have bew roof put on 7k$ do decided to just bandaid it up yo last naybe 5 plus years hopefully.

There are places in the underbelly you will never be able to reach especially when they put the vinyl layer on the bottom of the fifth wheel, you would need to pull all the vinyl plastic or whatever the stuff is they use completely off to be able to see where they are getting in not logical.

Mice can get in through very tiny cracks, like the size of an eraser at the end of a pencil or maybe less. You are lucky you didn't have weasels too. You did just seal the mice into the underbelly of your RV, where they can breed & bring in food from the outside. Eventually they will chew through most things to where the living space & food (smells) are. RV's were never built to be made for boon docking & being out in the forest. Even only staying in a RV Park, with all food stuff stored in glass or metal containers, would be a challenge to keep mice out in those circumstances. Even this city girl knows this. Good luck to you.

Another place where pets can commonly get in is through refrigerator and heater exterior vents often times there are no mesh behind those and they can squeeze through the fins in the vents. Something else often gets overlooked is external storage compartments being left open, it only takes one time for a pest to get in.

Very helpful info. Im about to address my cracked roof sealant and wasnt sure if I had to scrape off the old before applying the new lap sealant. Seems the consensus is just to clean it with mineral spirits and reapply lap sealant. Ill be covering with the tape next season fir sure...one and done baby!

Here is how I clean my entire 39 foot RV. In a sprayer: 1/2 water 1/2 bleach 1-cup of dawn. More is ok. In a 5 gal bucket: 1. Your favorite car wash mixed extra strong preferably something with wax in it like Maguire’s. 2. Long wash brush. Directions: Pick a shady spot if possible. At my house it is not. Spray a 6x6 area with the sprayer solution. Let stand 2 minutes. Take your car wash solution and scrub with the long brush. Rinse very thoroughly with a hose. Yes I do the roof and everything like this. I wish I could post pics of the results. Absolutely amazing. I know I will take a hit for doing it this way but I’m telling you it had worked on every RV I have ever owned. It’s also a great house wash.

Costco has these for 499.00 right now. but damn... the cost per month is brutal. i wouldn't use it that much, my trailer sits at my river lot for 6 months of the year but we don't go up that much. sure would be nice to have internet but i wish there was a less expensive option!

    • @OurCrazyRV

If you cannot get into your camper via the door, we have taken windows apart, etc to gain access to a camper. Then you take the door lock apart from the inside. You can then use a screw driver to move the mechanism from the inside and open the door and then take it apart.
