Dallas makes the same mistakes week after week. Undisciplined and mentally weak. All coaching but we have been saying this for decades.

I recorded the Penn State versus Purdue game, and I've been watching it in bits and pieces over the past few days. I remember them talking about this guy. In this or another game recently, I remember them talking about a linebacker and having a vague recollection that you might have mentioned the guy.

At this rate, no one is going to sign Rush or Lance. We can sign each of them at the vet minimum. None of this matters with Prescott as the quarterback.

Thanks for the video. When you first said, "I can name twenty running backs ...," I laughed and thought, "You've already named twenty running backs." On the serious side, I understand how the fans are a big part of the problem. The fans are fixated on "shiny objects." The running back that you mentioned is a shiny object. For people who are easily fixated on shiny objects, he's going to have appeal. Many RUclips creators as well as nationally-syndicated sports commentators have learned that the quickest way to get a big audience is to appease those who are fixated on shiny objects. Making those people happy is the way to a big audience because so many people act that way. The problem is that someone has to be the adult in the room. I still blame Jerry Jones. As the owner, he's supposed to be the adult in the room. If he doesn't have the football knowledge to be owner and GM, he needs to find someone else to be GM. Maybe he has the football knowledge, but he just doesn't care. Maybe he's fixated on shiny objects just as those fans are. Maybe he's not entirely fixated on shiny objects but is caught up in appeasing those people so that they will like him and listen to him. In that sense, Jerry Jones is more like a RUclips creator chasing likes and subscribes than a professional football team owner building a winning team. As I think about it, I get a feeling that Jerry Jones may be stuck at the maturity level of a twenty-year-old trying to achieve Tik-Tok glory. That would explain how he's dealt with Elliot and Prescott. That might explain the Mazi Smith pick. Granted, I thought Mazi Smith had a chance to be good, but I don't pretend to know how to evaluate talent. Jerry Jones being like a kid trying to achieve social media stardom would explain the Deuce Vaughn pick. To some extent, it would explain extending Zack Martin at the end of Martin's career instead of trading him when he held out. To some extent, it would explain the Trey Lance trade and maybe even the recent Mango trade. It would explain giving away Amari Cooper for almost nothing when Cooper thought for himself and didn't take the vaccine that all of the "cool kids" said to take. His failure to be the adult in the room would help explain firing Jimmy Johnson. Jerry Jones is an overgrown teenager trying to achieve social media stardom even before social media existed.

Got no argument from me. I dont think we should take a RB till the 3rd or 4th. I think we need a stud DT 1st pick and another LT and get rid of Steele, move guyton to RT. Or a big ole RG to take over for Zack. Defensive tackle and O-line for the first 2 picks for certain tho.

At this point, I'd rather trade our first round pick for first round picks in 2027 and 2028.

Will Grier played pretty well for Dallas in that preseason game a few years ago. I doubt that he'll be on the field anytime soon, but I'm glad that he'll get to pick up a paycheck. I'm starting to catch up with some of the college games that I recorded. I noticed a few Big Sky Conference seniors who look good. I'll be curious to see how they do in the draft. If any of the aren't drafted, the Cowboys should invite them to be UDFA players.

Doesn’t matter how high the pick is this year because the Jones’s are still running things. No decent coach will come here because Jerry is the coach, GM and owner. They are years away from contention.

Thanks for the video. I need to catch up on college games. I'm still hoping that we can do something that will persuade Prescott to ask for a trade. Of course, Jones won't do that because he'd have to admit that he was wrong to extend Prescott.

We definitely need better quarterback play. It was a big mistake to pay Dak Prescott all that money. And I can’t believe there’s people actually out there saying that it would’ve been different. Had Dak been out there we were barely averaging 20 points with him out there. We definitely need a new coach. I do like Rico Dowdle. I feel like he could be a solid number two but Mike McCarthy just refuses to run the football. Definitely need to start rebuilding.

well said well said man, focus on a QB needy team and get more picks. With the many positions of need do you think this is why they keep riding out the rest of the season so they can get more picks. Do not resign any free agents and agree start fron the front office and clean house everyone. I think the only head coach that would talk back to jerry and demand the GM position would be Bellicheck!

How cold is "cold" where you are. I took my first walk in below 25°F weather the other night. I might have to look for those UnderArmor socks. I have mid-30's and snow right now. I lived there for ten years, so I have a few Louisiana things stuck in my brain. I also wonder whether him being an Arkansas product would make Jerry Jones notice him a little bit. I don't remember you mentioning what round he might go. If he's still there in the fifth round with all of the Cowboys's fifth round picks, maybe Jerry Jones will pick him up.

The ironic thing is that I may be too demoralized to play the mock drafts this year. I'm learning about all kinds of players, but I just don't care that much how the Cowboys draft because they've screwed their future by extending Prescott.

Thanks for the video. I just returned from voting. Considering that we took Viliami Fehoko Jr. with our last pick in the fourth round, I'm not encouraged about what we might do with a fourth-round pick going forward. On the other hand, that was the draft where we took Mazi Smith in round one and Luke Schoonmaker in round two. They must have been drunk when they made their boards that year. This trade still leaves me demoralized. With Prescott being injured again in both his hand and hamstring, we can't rely on him to play in the future. We still have to pay for him into the future, but we can't rely on him to play at all. We have to get an other quarterback before next year. We can probably pick up a free agent who isn't any good, but we won't have a quality backup even if Trey Lance plays well. His contract will expire this year, and if he plays well in games this year, he's not going to sign with the Cowboys just to sit behind Prescott for four years. No one who is any good is going to sit behind Prescott for four years. That's the only silver lining. The Cowboys won't be any good for four years anyway, so our fourth-round pick next year may not matter. With the deadline passed, the Cowboys won't do what needs to be done. They won't trade players to get picks in 2027, 2028, and 2029. Those trades would send the message to Prescott that we have no faith in him. That would persuade him to ask for a trade. Of course, Jerry Jones doesn't want to make Prescott ask for a trade because Jones still believes that Prescott will sell tickets and jerseys. Stephen Jones has grown up watching his father run the team. I worry that makes him think that he can run the team, but maybe he's just being nice to his father. Maybe he will make big changes once his father passes. If something happened and I suddenly inherited the team, I'd let the Talking Crazy crew run the team.

Viliami Fehoko, Jabril Cox, Josh Ball , and Reggie Robinson, were also Cowboys 4th round picks over the last several years. Cowboys are hardly 4th round draft pick geniuses.
