This is the most underrated song ever written. It’s catchy, fun, well written, memorable, and nostalgic. I will never understand how this didn’t have any real impact when they released it. I love this song!!

Great track! Heard it on the radio sitting in the back seat of me old man’s old Valiant when I was eight. It opened up my eyes to the funny shit written about Brisbane at the time 😂 “To The Batmobile Robin”! 30 ft long on the side of main road at Everton Park..I guess someone was on acid and needed to express their inner Batman..Lol, it was funny as an eight year old…I copied and wrote KIZZ all over the scoreboard at a football club behind our place 🤘

The drums make this particular song absolutely marvelous, followed by the lead guitar and well-placed synth run. As for vocals "Castaway," "Only Thinking," & "Shanghaied" are the big winners. This band was incredible.

One of the first albums I ever bought (because of Computer Games). Fell in love with it after this song!

Got this and Graffiti crimes albums on vinyl..the only way to listen to them.Cds suffer from some 80's knob twiddling with excessive reverb on the drums and noise gating...but still good.

So many emotions to hear this again..Yes they were Kiwis.. But they were one of the Three best live Pub Ozrock Bands back in the day.. And I saw them all.. One of the most striking middle 8's I've ever heard in a Song in this one, too.. RIP Steve, what a frontman he was..

Haven't heard this brilliant song for decades. Sad that Steve Gilpin is no longer with us.

I saw most of the big-name NZ refugees live in the late 70s / early 80s and this is the only Kiwi band I still rate all these years later. Split Enz and Dragon probably had more fans but Mi-Sex absolutely killed it live - Gilpin had real stage presence and the rest of the band just rocked. Right up there with my favorite live band of that era - Birdman - and both are sadly missed.

One of the BEST songs from the 80s; haunting, beautiful, yearning and triumphant!!!!
