I'm not a native American, and I don't even live in the Americas. I just know native American culture is absolutely magnificent and it really touches your soul. Can't wait to learn this dance!

I have always LOVED Native Americans and their rituals. I am a 62 year old Caucasian but I am starting tomorrow to learn your teaching at home to show reverence to your people, God and the land. Side note is that I will become physically stronger doing something with meaning and power-and become stronger physically. Thank you!🙇‍♀️🙏🏼❤

I was dancing on powwow music (excuse me If there is a specific name for im not aware of) and I was a bit dancing from what I know. Then thought "but wait, I beter do it right" came up to this video and saw that automatically I was already doing the basics. What do I wanna say with this? It tels me that its a very natural way of dancing on these rhythms, atleast for me. Witch tells me that this way of dancing has been around a very very very long time If thats the case, im glad it is and im clad it has survived everything native tribes and people have to endure since the arrival of "settlers" in america and surrounding countries. Once again, this is my vision on what I just discovered, of this is wrong please correct me. Im fairly new in terms of interest in the native people and tribes, witch comes from my dad who also has a big interest and knowledge in this.

Thank you for this! I’m not a First Nation or Métis but have been to more than one powwow (by invite to the public, Sask). Am a super self conscious dancer (even by myself!) and do join in with the invite to dance, but my whole body feels tense. Your tutorial is a wonderful help and I feel confident that if there’s a next invite, I’ll be able to actually relax as should be. ❤

my ten plus year dead friend kirk brown in TO and NB who was an athabaskan indian on his mother's side (greek father), told me that if I ever get into any kind of trouble with any first nations people again, just to say the word 'anishnawbe'. he knew that I am one with him and his ancestry. I was so proud. of him and of myself. of the great spirit. the sky is the father and the land is the mother. they must be kept together.

WHAT YOU SAID AND THEN SHOWED, WAS TAPING YOUR TOES DOWN TWICE NOT ONCE AS YOU DESCRIBED. SO PLEASE CLARIFY FOR ME. ITS TWO APS OF THE TOE, THEN FLAT FOOTED, ETC THANKS SO MUCH

thank you for refreshing my memory. I haven't danced in 20 years (when I was still just a kid in a ribbon shirt and jeans) and I'm about to start again wearing eastern woodlands regalia but forgot how to do the basic step. maybe one day I'll find someone who can teach me a men's traditional or preferably southern straight (not a fan of wearing the bustles)

For many generations since before Americas founders were even born the ground was tactically denatured to force all to value roles/natures with the breaching method's value systems other than natures. The soil held less worms each year. Now it was/is really bad. The small things like the worms the nature uses to show us the even more finite.

Many years ago we lived in a rural area in southeast Arizona and at the fall festival there was dancing and I noticed one native American man in buckskin dancing off by himself where there was a continuous drum sound. His feet moved but mire than thst, his body moved quickly also. I had never before or since seen someone dance like that. It was mesmerizing to watch him and the drums is what made him so unlike the other dancers. God bless your culture

It has just occurred to me. Was he real? I had never seen anyone dressed in buckskin before and everyone was dressed in Jean's and he was off by himself, but could that man dance!
