Broke-Down Palace
The words of this song touch me so deeply, and has been one of my all time favorite songs since I first heard it when I was 17.
The lyrics to “Brokedown Palace” was written by Robert Hunter as part of a suite of songs that arrived via his pen during a stay in London in 1970. He entitled it “Broke-Down Palace,” and now that it exists as a piece of writing, it seems to have always existed. It was composed on the same afternoon as “Ripple” and “To Lay Me Down,” with the aid of a half bottle of retsina.
Its first performance was on August 18, 1970, at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, and became a staple of the live repertoire. After the 1974 hiatus, “Brokedown Palace” appeared almost exclus...

One of my favorites by the Dead, the words are very meaningful for me, and has been one of my "go to" songs whenever I was feeling down. After watching the video, I look sad, I'm actually in a great mood, and not feeling down at all...it's just the emotions I put in to the song to create it. I hope you enjoy.

This video is an instructional video for tuning rope tuned drums. This specific video is for the "Dunun Weave" or as I like to call it, "Under 3 & Back Under 2." This tuning method can be used on any rope tuned instrument, but has been traditionally used for the 3 African bass drums named Dununba, Sangbahn, & Kenkenny.

Super helpful! Where did you get the two metal rods attached to the table to keep the djembe from falling forward?
Those are galvanized threaded one inch pipes that can easily be made using a pipe threading machine. Or purchased from a local plumbing supplier.

Thanks for the video, I've left my horse skin soaking for a month or more, one side is slimy. Is this normal? I guess it will go when the skin dries?
I never soak skins longer than 24 hours... they start to rot..
