Haha, agree. They usually get their customers to do the product testing. They need to invest more money on quality and use better materials for a start.

Thanks for your comment. My observation living in the west is to the contrary. These days, most of the white guys reviewing RE and giving favourable opinions is just a way to capture Indian viewership. The content is mostly for the Indian RE fans looking to pander to their ego. It's similar to the Pakistani RUclipsrs making Indian content to please the Indian audience, where they bash Pakistan on a regular basis. I agree that RE is improving their quality; but to say that their tech, quality and reliability is at a similar level as Honda is streching it too far.

Sounds good mate, RE has taken a promising direction with the 650 cc twins. I am sure they will move further and introduce more of such exciting motorcycles. Maybe a 1000cc twin, next time.

I'm following RE specifically from pre COVID time for their cruiser bikes & they have done massive improvement in their final product and also improved it for each new launch e.g. Meteor 350 to Super Meteor 650 to Shotgun 650. Also their improvement from old Himalayan to Himalayan 450 or now launch of Guerrilla 450... In all these examples you will see continuous improvement & that should be appreciated. Now to your point yes they are not the best at international level but they just enter into the international arena some years back. I guess they are currently giving Indian products good at quality & economical to the International market & doing good sales. Eventually they will focus on some products which will be a competition to international products... It has nothing to do with the past or Indian history to urge to show masculinity... It has that quality which they use to sell their products... Do Old or New Himalayan has it NO... Do Old or new RE scambler has it NO... So I feel like your comparison with the past & the urge to show masculinity was not right... Hence that leftist comments bcoz leftist twist history & use it according to their purpose.

@@CallMeJustKK Thanks for sharing your views. My inference for Masculinity was more to do with the Indian customers and also from a post-independence historical perspective. RE has been evolving very fast and I agree that their products are getting better and the quality is going up as well. There is still a long way to go though, to match brands like Honda etc. However, I would be honest to acknowledge that a lot of big, expensive and international brands are not of good quality as well. I have ridden Ducati and Aprilia motorcycles, and they pretty poor quality which you can see if you use them on a daily basis. But they are super successful brands, which are really high on cutting-edge race derived tech. RE could strategically go in that direction so that it has a combination of high tech and nice designs (which they currently have) even though they are mid-tier in quality and reliability.

Yes, agree that they are somehow victims of their own success. They are tied to their brand image for the better or worse. I get the feeling that the brand is doing really well commercially, selling a lot of products in India and abroad. But they need to focus on their engineering and quality by building an inhouse design team and implementing solid quality control technologies. Their core strength is the brand heritage, which I do not think is genuine today. Their new models have no continuity in design from their old heritage models. These new models are primarily designed by second-tier design houses in Europe. This needs to change with time.

Yes, agree. There were heroes still fighting for our existence against the foreign occupation. These are our real national heroes.
