? I don't think it's bullshit at all, but I don't confuse humble with shame. Or at least I don't use humble and shame interchangeably. I'm not ashamed to be myself and the people who don't like me will attempt to shame me for who I am. They want me weaker and smaller. Being humble, having an open mind and being willing to learn, is a critical skill. I need to observe my faults when I lose to learn the lessons I need to learn. I need to listen to those who care about me when they give me critical feedback. Both helps me shine more brightly. The 2nd is an aspect of confidence because you need an objective perspective of your own behavior to do that. Maybe there's a better word for it that you use.
