Hey! I attempt to make decent video tours of malls and other things I find interesting. If you like my content, you can subscribe if you want, or not, I won't be offended.
MALL TOUR: The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills - Tarentum, Pennsylvania
Welcome to my video tour of the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum, Pennsylvania from July 14, 2021. This is a very large, single-story mall opened in July of 2005 about a half hour northeast of downtown Pittsburgh. Originally envisioned in the 1980s as a bi-level mall to be developed by George D. Zamias, similar to York Galleria and Johnstown Galleria, by the 2000s it morphed into a joint venture with The Mills Corporation, who had also been planning a mall in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area since the 1980s. Kaufmann's, Sears, and JCPenney had been signed on to the Zamias development since the 90s, and so were many smaller stores, and so the project was The Mills Corporation's fir...

MALL TOUR: Nittany Mall - State College, Pennsylvania
Просмотров 3082 месяца назад
Welcome to my video tour of the Nittany Mall in State College, Pennsylvania from July 16, 2021. This is a very old mall, originally opened in 1968, that has gone through many expansions and renovations in its 55 years of service to its community. Being located in a college town, you'd think this mall would be doing a lot better than it is, and I wish it was. Despite the fact that it is struggli...
MALL TOUR: Lycoming Mall - Pennsdale, Pennsylvania (NOW CLOSED)
Просмотров 5283 месяца назад
Welcome to my video tour of the Lycoming Mall in Pennsdale, Pennsylvania from July 16, 2021. This was a vintage and beautifully designed regional mall built by Crown American located a little over an hour and a half west of Scranton. In the past 15 years or so, the mall ran into trouble regarding anchors pulling out and tenant rot in general, leading to its unfortunate closure in February of 20...
MALL TOUR: The Centre at Salisbury, Salisbury MD

This is my video tour of The Centre at Salisbury in Salisbury, Maryland, from August 9, 2021. This is a relatively attractive mall located on the "DelMarVa" peninsula, about 100 miles away from Norfolk, Baltimore, or Wilmington. This mall was originally intended to serve not only the local community, but travelers headed down south. Unfortunately, in the last few years several anchor stores shu...
Mall Tour: Concord Mall, Wilmington Delaware

This is my video tour of the Concord Mall in Wilmington, Delaware from August 2021. This is an incredibly beautiful mall with brass, glass, marble, earth tones, and greenery all throughout. Natural light comes in through the many skylights and casts this place in an incredible aura during my visit. Thanks for watching!
(NOW CLOSED) - Columbia Mall, Buckhorn, PA
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.2 года назад
This is my raw tour of the small, 352,544 square foot Columbia Mall in Buckhorn, PA from July 16, 2021. This was a very dead mall located about an hour west of Scranton. The mall opened in 1988 and was developed by George D. Zamias of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The mall originally opened with Sears, JCPenney, The Bon-Ton, and Hills as anchors. It was struggling for many years until finally closin...
NON-DEAD MALL TOUR: Mountaineer Mall, Morgantown, WV
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.2 года назад
This is my tour of the Mountaineer Mall in Morgantown, WV from July 15, 2021. This is an beautiful example of a late 1970s rural mall. Most of the stores in this mall may look closed, but in reality this mall is far from dead, as most of the space is has been converted into offices. This is also probably the best maintained and cleanest mall I have ever been to, and that in combination with its...

Steve Gray - "Wondergroove" (Playing in an Empty Mall)
Do you know if any claw machines or arcade games left in this mall as of late 2024?
That's a beautiful mall Hope Kohan doesn't let it go to pot.
Nices Video, Sam. 👍👍
The colorful playground is actually a PBS Kids playground which were called PBS Kids Backyard or PBS Kids Neighborhood. These playgrounds were built and started in 2003 at the St. Louis Mills, and these playgrounds would growing as the last two mills malls were built, Cincinnati Mills in 2004, and of course Pittsburgh Mills in 2005. St Louis Mills playground- the largest out of the 3 and is supposed to represent a rocket ship Cincinnati mills - smallest one and has a representation of a tree Pittsburgh Mills - the medium sized one also represents a tree but has more activities Sadly the playgrounds were stripped of there branding after the Mills Corp was defunct in April 2007. Honestly in my opinion it’s a hidden gem because this was a channel I used to watch growing up so the fact that this existed was shocking to me. And it made since due to the mills corp being so colorful and zany. Great Video 💜🐶💜
I was going to comment that same thing!
Wow great minds think alike, when I first found out about this info I was shocked. This defiantly is a hidden gem for PBS fans

Πολύ όμορφη η Mall
I appreciate that you showed off the entire beauty of this mall.
I remember visiting this mall with my dad in the summer of 2007. We went in Borders, Dick's Sporting Goods, and an art gallery.
I especially remember the mall having a sprawling layout and being kind of in isolated location. Even in 2007 I didn't have very high hopes for this mall. My dad and I were probably the only ones in the food court. He had Subway and I had Villa Pizza. My favorite part of the mall was the different "neighborhoods".
What day and year was this filmed?
all that info is in the description
That one food location across front the dollar store was a “marble slab creamery”. There was never anyone getting ice cream there… ever! The Sears Grand location was used for movie props and set vehicles when there were movies being filmed in the area years ago.
This mall was great… for walking around! 😂😂😂 I go back to the days when it had the Steelers store, a Kinkade gallery, the original mini glow golf, Johnny rockets, Dingbats restaurant, Starbucks, Sears Grand, Brooks Brothers, Linens and Things and a corporate Guess store. The food court had lots of great options… and a deli that used Boars Head meats! When most of the stores left, ITT technical college moved in and then they got nailed by the feds. Then all the mom and pop junk stores also moved out. Very sad waste of money and a nice big building.
@@charlestonpinballarcade thanks for all your insightful comments about this mall!!
The last mall that was built… that should have never been built. Pittsburgh is overmalled and the household incomes on route 28 past the mall into New Kensington and up to Kittanning and beyond literally fall off a cliff. Great video! Thanks for keeping us updated on the status of the mall. I lived in Pittsburgh for a decade and went to this mall many times.

As a freshman at SU, I highly recommend coming here to get some deals on clothes or dorm essentials.
The way you film is almost as if I'm actually there inside the mall!
I found it!
Was literally thing that you should put Pamela by toto In one of your mall videos then at 18:47 I hear the beginning tune for Pamela, So nvm Sam.

Howdy Niko.
My lst visit to that mall was in July, 1990. I've made numerous visits to that mall over yrs. My most-r'cnt one was in Mar., 2020. And for few d'cds Cafe Riviera pizzeria's been there
I love this mall and how its pink and blue. Crown American made some Gorgeous ones.
Really steady footage, makes me slightly jealous xD. Keep up the good work
Michaels and Ollie’s are opening stores there.
Wow
Owner can’t sell or auction off the mall for the price he wants. So in comes Ollie’s and Michael’s. He states if he can’t sell the mall, he will open the mall (maybe meaning the inside?). Arby’s is also going but outside next to BK. So I guess he is gonna repurpose the mall in some way?
"opening the mall" sounds like a crazy idea considering this footage is already 3 years old and the place was in a pretty bad state then, with the roof leaks and mold and all. but, if he does reopen it, i'll definitely go back and get more footage
I wish this place was still here, what a gem.
What's the name of the mall Doomie Grunt going this week? ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhDWhXqmDlNyy4Sllzuk1nnh3y-zcJzIC
The very nice video of all time very nice.
My favorite mall in the United States and yet I still am yet to visit. Soon. Thanks for sharing!
I know Kenny G as Pizza Hut tunes. Anyone else remember being a kid in the 90s listening to Mr G in the Hut? Thanks for sharing.
When you first step inside, the skylight above. That simple design gets me. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, intricate ceiling in some areas. Rad mall thanks for sharing!
SUBBED! Keep the jamz on full blast! 🎷🎸🥁🎹
Wow what a BEAUTIFUL mall, nice vid, vibin the whole time🕺🙏🙏
That “it’s a fact” song has one little part of the hook that almost sounds like “through the fire” from Chaka Khan! 🎉 Now I have to see what the connections are between both artists. They must have had the same producers or same studio musicians. So much of the hit 80s music is connected in a very small family of talented people and greedy record producers that took advantage of that talent.
Uh oh.., I have my roots wrong here. That song is from Jeff Lorber and came out BEFORE Chaka Khan’s song and Jeff was his own producer of that track… now I have to spend the rest of the day listening to more… 😂😂😂
JAMZ!!! 🎶🎼🎵🎉
This is nice video content, I like it. 😊👍
Still My Favorite Mall!!!!
Gorgeous mall. I wish I could have seen this one. I love the music choices, I was genuinely vibing the entire video!
An underrated gem of a mall.
RIP David Sanborn
we lost a real legend 😭
I actually just visited this mall recently and was struck by how seemingly vaporwave-y it was! So quiet and eerie, quite possibly the most dead mall I have ever stepped foot inside of…yet it housed some kinda crazy hidden gems. The arcade looked like it was straight out of the 80s, and their physical media store had one of the best VHS tape collections I’ve ever seen at any store.
Thanks for visiting 🔥 we might start hosting horror movies nights soon
Nice video.
Nice video.
that is my local mall moved to Eastern Shore in 2010. It was still packed then most weekends. Went for a sale last week, counted 21 closed storefronts and 3 businesses with closing sale signs up. That's a third of the mall empty.

Just sold at a big loss....soon
The place is deserted. I lived in Salisbury when they built this mall. I was a big deal and the happening place to be when I was 13 yrs old. I could ride my bike there and didn't have to have parental supervision....ahhhh, freedom! I had my first actual "meet me at the mall" date there....we had an Orange Julius and walked around, and then a bunch or her girl friends showed up and ruined it.
This song was also an appropriate track for Japan’s digital switchover in 2011. Due to copyright restrictions it was not possible to play any of his tracks on television stations when information screens were being displayed…
I interviewed Trammell about his Weather Channel music and you can see it by typing "Another Colorful Life Trammell Starks" in the search prompt. His music got me through the pandemic. He talks about this song during the interview. He's great!
This is my remaining places of my childhood thats still standing and i STILL go there! Mainly for an occasional Friday evening dine outs! Back in 2019 i went there on Halloween and it was VERY crowded! That moment really felt like if i were there back in the 90s, back then we used to trick or treat in the malls and that included the ORIGINAL Menlo Park mall!
