I just called and started past the caller and it’s never giving me one single issue besides the parking brake that sometimes gets loose.
I own two of these mowers and I have several years and hundreds of hours on both. I do all my own maintenance and have not experienced any issues with the belts. The belts are very strong, if you have everything adjusted correctly, and blow the area after each mow, you shouldn't be experiencing such issues. I have the kawasaki fj180v kai on both of mine, just oil and oil filter changes, no issues. Are you turning the fuel off to load and unload the mower? If the fuel shut off valve is off you can't flood the engine like that. I always turn mine off just before I finish up on a job. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my mowers. I think it's a good product. My only criticism is a few bolts have needed to be replaced on one and the transmission needed replacing on one at two years old on one.( I took the old trans apart and it was in fairly good condition, was just a spring that had moved inside that caused the problem with slipping.) The other mower is on the original transmission with hundreds of hours and no problems, so maybe just unlucky. I would say that overall Toro has been good to deal with in my experience and they have a good product in the Turfmaster.
Our crews mow 20-25 lawns per day. They push them pretty hard as they are on production pay.

The muffler and engine bolts come loose? Thats crazy. But what's the alternative? Are there any other 30" inch mowers?
Doesn't seem to be another good option in that size. I have a fried that tried the Ferris 32 walk behinds and had lots of issues. they went back to the 21 toros.

I guess i got lucky my kohler turfmaster doesnt have these issues. I burn through 1 or 2 blue belts a year but we do tons of overgrown lawns with it. Im having issue with bent wheels though.

I own a Time master and l like almost everything about it 2 things that l donr like is it can not mowe wet or tall grasses. In order to do that l would have to pay twice as much for that scag . I will deal with my toro

Well, it’s a self propelled push mower, not a “walk behind”. I do like the 30” push mowers though, definitely more productive than the little 21” push mowers

I just bought the Defiant brand and set it for 6 hours. Does it take time for it to kick in? It is dark currently. With it being under the front porch light, will that cause it to not come on?

If that porch light is shining ANYWHERE close to that timer plug in, IT WILL NOT WORK......turn yo porch lights off....must be dark to work at all times....that's what the photoeye is for, to see light or dark to tell the thing to come on or shutoff

Clutches break in these, wheels give out… this machine is a failure. Total failure. Wish they would take mine back.
Completly agree, a few months after this video we got rid of it. Our Dealer said the newer versions are much better as they worked out some of the bugs.

If I set the timer to on. Lights will be steady, but if I set it to 8hrs they will flash. How I stop them from flashing.
The timer is getting too much light. Either from the porch light or from the Christmas lights themselves. Try turning it around so it doesn’t get any light or moving it to a dark location. Let me know if that helps.

I have mine connected and installed but no matter what I do to set a timer, it won’t turn on. Ive tried covering the eye like you demonstrated. I’ve covered with tape, I’ve held it for a long time but it just won’t turn on. Am I doing something wrong? Is mine defective?
Have you checked to make sure there is power at the outlet. I would try plugging something in to make sure (not the lights). if no power it could be a tripped gfci or breaker. if you do have power, plug in the lights directly and see if they come on. if they do then its probably the timer. If they dont then there is something wrong in the strand itself.

If you set it to 6 hrs will it turn on at the same time the next day for 6hrs and so on so forth??
Hi Javier, It will turn on when it gets dark enough,and will stay on for 6 hours. It just depends on when it gets dark enough to trigger it.
Same question: mine is set for 6 hours, what time will lights come back on? The six hours is not at dawn. I do not want the lights on all night. Six hours, lights will turn off about midnight. When will lights come on again?

It definitely can be. You may just need to turn the time to face a different direction towards the dark.
