They are one of my favorite bands. We saw them a few years back. We left after his 2nd song. He can't sing anymore. First time I have ever walked out of a show.

It was his birthday this day and we sand happy birthday to Wes! He apologized that he couldn't sing too well due to tonsillitis but was still there for the people.
all the best to him... he was struggling to reach the notes towards the end but everyone helped and enjoyed the heck out of them.

He was not he had bad throat pains im sure due to tonsillitis. He let the crowd know before they started their set.

Because everyone has a bad day at work every now and then, or a day where you just didn't do your best. Couple that with him attempting a vocal approach that didn't suit his own personal voice, and you get that Nirvana cover. But Puddle of Mudd didn't become a largely successful rock band because they have a singer who always sings poorly. Clearly that performance was the exception and not the rule.
I think he’s in a lower vocal registry than Kurt was. When he sang the Nirvana cover, he was really stressing his pipes out. He’s not Kurt and that’s okay, just stay Wes
