For me Jon Lord is still the GOAT, as he was big in a time when things were still new, so he was more of a pioneer in the field. That said, Sir Joost is definitely a worthy person to stand on Jon's shoulders to bring things to the next level.

Yes Dimash has a wonderful voice, but this is some how lacking, may be the wrong song choice, perhaps the lack of lyrics, to fully utilise his 9:28 skills, sorry, sadly this doesnt do it, for me

The traditional Ave Maria /ˈa.ve maˈri.a/ means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano. His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.

Dimash did this to appeal to all, not just catholics. He is muslim, & Igor Krutoy, at piano/composer, is jewish.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Oh I love this song I was at this concert but had forgotten it a little when the live album released of course first thing I did was listening to the entire thing, when it got to Comatose I began crying and I might have heard Comatose 10 times that day along with looping the new live version of River Of Time. I am a huge fan of Damian Wilson like he is my favourite vocalist ever and I have a signed Threshold album only by Damian Wilson of course because that is the reason I bought it in the first place. River Of Time from this concert is really good it is also a duet but it is with Hansi Kürsch and Damian Wilson. Hansi's raspy high voice works so well with Damian's soft clean high voice and I might have heard that version a million times already because I am also a huge fan of Blind Guardian surprise surprise. Also for some Threshold stuff I recommend are That's Why We Came and Eat The Unicorn I do not think either have a music video or a good live video with Damian but they're great songs. Eat The Unicorn is one of my favourite songs from the Threshold album I own which is Extinct Instinct and I have seen one of Damian's solo shows where he did a few songs from all over his career, that is where I first heard That's Why We Came. This obsession is totally my dad's fault because after we went to Ayreon I mentioned to him that I like Damian Wilson the most among the Ayreon vocalists and he was immediately like: he is coming here do you want to go to that show. That is where it all went wrong.
