I had this record, the cover always freaked me out, so I had it backwards in my box. Rarely played though, but a classic now. I feel I underappreciated it back in the day.

This is my top 3 anthems. From 2:58 is immense. This tracked sampled from CeCe Rogers Someday, what a track that was - also sampled in Some Justice - Urban Shakedown which was massive in the rave scene early 90s. Respect to Cece Rogers, two bangers.

Great channel this, so many anthems. Fun Fact - this hit number 2 in the UK but they didn't get clearance from the writers of Walking in Memphis it took the sample from them, they got sued, and couldn't press any more copies so it dropped out of the chart instantly the next week. The 12" vinyl today is rare and goes for £50 a pop, I had one. The terms of the injunction meant Shut Up & Dance had to give all the proceeds to charity so this remains one of the biggest charity songs of the 90s, love that.

I just play the cd maxi loud and goosebumps on my arms and a tear roll down because the voice of Sedric Johnson and the music is a perfect combination. Idd a shame the remix of Rollo is not on spotify. The single version is sinds 2023 on spotify. Maybe the remixes will add also.
