Sorry but I don’t really get these arguments. I’m a MJ fan but at the same time I love Kobe when he played. Stylistically he and MJ are the only ones who could get me off my seat when I’m watching the game on Tv. Because he couldn’t win the 3-peat if Shaq wasn’t the main man; so what? One could argue Jordan couldn’t win the double 3 peats and 6 rings without Pippen? How has being the greatest Laker even be part of the consideration for being possibly one of the GOAT? And do you call LBJ the best in Heat, Cavalier or Laker (he certainly isn’t in Laker and Heat) to be considered as GOAT? The fact that Kobe managed to win 2 more without Shaq should have given him even more credit he was able to do it without the so called main man. The only thing against Kobe is probably he’s too similar to MJ, when you have MJ leading the way in front of him having that kind of history and influence and him being so similar meant it was always almost impossible to put him in front of MJ hence he was in the shadow of the greatest. LBJ had the advantage just by being different, being more resilient in longevity and being a more well rounded player who could possibly play all 5 positions than anyone prob ever was, though it’s arguable whether he’s ever close to being the best in any of the positions.
