There is great need to revive & further develop the beautiful music tradition of the days gone by, before it gets overtaken by Bollywood influenced strains… the latter can continue… but not at the cost of genuine Old Goan folk music. Viva la Goa

Born and bred in Mumbai never spoke in Konkani.Quite enjoyed konkani songs but never crazy about it.Heard Cheddua go and was entranced and completely bowled over.Been hearing these songs every night from the day I heard them. Fantastic.Magnificent.Proud to be a Goan.

Beautifully sung! It reminds me of the Goan cultural troupe 'Alegria' that I used to play for. I used to play the Gumot for the Goan songs and dances and triple congos for the Portuguese dances.

Enjoyed it. Looks like you guys have moved on (video bears an 8 year old stamp). Good luck with whatever you are doing now. Voices were very energetic.
