    Hi. I have been feeling symptoms for a couple of years Brain feel like it foggy all the time. I've been to many doctors and 3 ER visits as of late. No one can find anything wrong with me, but they all say anxiety which i think it's more than that. I get twitching right eyes and shortness of breath. I have passed out twice which prompted 3 visit. I have heart palpations. Now all of this happens for about 2 months but then it and is still ongoing Now im worried again cause last night as i was trying to go asleep it felt like my brain shut off, kinda like i wasn't there for a second. For like 3 days now i have been feeling like a pass out feeling but havent passed out and now last night that wierd brain thing happened. I have got these feelings of passing out during the years ive been feeling symptoms and they last for about a week then i will bounce back but never had what happened last night. What could this be?? I have had my blood taken also ct scans of my brain, chest and heart scan and everything they say is normal. I dont feel normal at all now for 2 years. Ive taken so many test and seen like 4 different regular doctors but never they refered me to a neuro. Now i have no insurance to go to doc and check cause the price went up. Any thought on what could be wrong with me would be doing help. I just want my young life back as im only 38 years old and was very athletic before all of this. Thank you for your time James

    • @annaalexandratou5593
      @annaalexandratou5593 2 года назад

      @@FloreFaune I mean that normally you would either be covering neurology inpatients or stroke or neuro CCU or specialty clinics. There are usually different registrars/residents covering each unit/department. The video is showing that she is going from neurology to A&E and then CCU and then clinic, which just doesn’t look realistic. You cannot do all at once, especially in busy tertiary hospitals. And you can definitely not cover inpatients and outpatients and A&E at the same time. Plus most acute patients (especially A&E thrombolysis calls) will have to be discussed with a consultant.

    Hey..didn't know where else to ask...I know someone who has severe OCD and I promised them I would ask around on RUclips. This person got tested for COVID19 through the nose and one of her obsessive thoughts is, that they might have a chip in their brain now, which one day might be activated and make them do stuff they doesn't want to do. So the question is: is it physically possible to put a microscopically small chip through the nose into someone's brain, specifically to a place that would make sense to "control" someone's behaviour? And would it even be possible to control someone's mind, from a scientific point of view??? I know this sounds strange and weird but that's just how these obsessive thoughts work I guess. Hope you see this and maybe give me an answer so I can maybe reassure this person with OCD that there's nothing to worry about. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work 👍

    Hi Dr. I'm wondering if you can give me a little advice. I tried a single 100mg gabapentin capsule (for arm/ neck nerve pain) 11 weeks ago. Just one capsule! I felt great somnolence and brain fog the next day. I kept waiting, but the symptoms never went away completely. I know it sounds unusual that only 100 mg would do this, but the symptoms followed the intake of the gabapentin and they have persisted. So far it's been 76 days of somnolence; and though there was some improvement in brain fog and certain brain functions, coinciding with my (fasting, morning-tested) TSH going back to a normal 2.11 on day 60 after testing 4.54 on day 12 (an effect of the GBP, I assume) a substantial % of the somnolence (60-70%) is still with me. Thankfully, other strange effects have subsided: -Anorgasmia till day 41 -Disappearance of bright geometric phosphenes upon pressing my eyes after meditation - until day 67 (suppression of visual cortex?) -increased somnolence instead of neck pain upon flexing my neck forward during the first few weeks (like my brain was interpreting the pain differently). -uncomfortable sensations around the head. I also keep getting slight nausea and headaches here and there. And some dizziness when scrolling fast on a screen, or even looking at a screen for too long sometimes. My doctor has been on maternal leave so on day 33 the PA ordered a battery of blood tests. The only thing that came back abnormal is homocysteine at 17.8. My methylmalonic acid, which is supposed to measure B12 status, was normal (163). This seems to indicate that my B12 is normal and either I'm low on folate (which I find hard to believe with my diet), or the gabapentin disrupted my thyroid (& whatever else) which led to high homocysteine. In any case, since I'm vegan, I was already taking an iodine/B12 supplement, but I have since added a B complex with folate and a sublingual B12. And some creatine too (0.75gr). I do have mild epilepsy resulting from a childhood concussion for which I took tegretol from age 11-14. Every month or two I will have a 20-60min episode of seeing lights/visual disturbances followed by a slight headache. So perhaps that's been a factor. Interestingly, I haven't had any episodes since I took the gabapentin. I don't smoke, drink or take any prescription drugs, and take long walks regularly. I'm a generally healthy 42-year-old male with a normal weight. I tried 1-3 capsules of Ginko Biloba, which is supposed to be some type of mild GABA antagonist, but it didn't really help. Nicotine gum didn't help either. Only coffee helps a bit. Walks also make me feel better, when I have enough energy. Since a number of my symptoms have gotten better, I am hoping everything will return to normal eventually and I just need to wait. But I'm wondering at which point it would be necessary to try some treatment or medication. Thanks for taking the time to read this.... Jonathan
