I think you sound very logical in trying to be consistent and having rules with your trading. If you continue that mindset you’ll have higher likelihood of doing better than 90% of traders.

Whats been helping me keep my red days small lately is holding myself to a max loss that is half my profit target.. currently I’ve been trying to hold myself to a max loss of 40 and profit target of 80

I think many people got destroyed today. I was stoked from pre, did well. But kept pushing till I was negative. Way way too much chop today, I can only assume it’s cause the VIX is dropping.

Surly to gawd profit taking will happen tomorrow.

I disagree it does not feel like 2020-2021 during that time many stocks would run for any reason 1000% in a week was almost typical on a penny stock. Now it’s just the magnificent seven and other mega cap companies.

$4360 on the es is a area of concern. Maybe I’ll be wrong but if I had stupid money I’d like to short there.

I think what has us so thirsty for trading is of the sheer amount of money that’s thrown around every day. One thing that helped me out was a quote, I’ll paraphrase. “Once you understand everything that happens in the market is by design you’ll no longer have fear” basically it’s saying that if you take a foolish trade then you just didn’t read the market properly at the time.

I don’t ever get any views either, I understand the struggle though. Keep at it brother!

What position size do you trade with?

Unfortunate timing with those entries. It really sucks getting chopped out like that. Hopefully it goes better next time... You already pointed out that you didn't wait for confirmation, which is what you said you want to see. Do you have a back tested data set that suggests waiting for the candle to close is the confirmation you want? Also, what kind of profit targets are you looking for relative to risk? 1:1 Risk Reward? 2:1? Your trades today were stopped out trades, so I couldn't actually see what you aim for in terms of that. Lastly, how long have you been trading for? You talk about some terminology that shows you have studied this for at least a little while, and you're strategy shows you've done this for a little bit too.
