metal detecting a new 1700's permission leads to some interesting finds
Metal Detecting 207: The 3 of us found a perfect morning to metal detect as a group before it got hot out. Joe was able to land a nice 1700's property that used to have an old buggy road on the edge of the property which lead to us fining coins, relics and some jewelry. Also, we found plenty of nails and iron things.

Bridge Closed: messing around in the back woods of Maine
Просмотров 8382 месяца назад
The Metal Detecting 207 Crew was able to take a long weekend off to try our skills at Muskie fishing up by the Canadian border. The back roads of Maine led us to a bridge that was closed, we found a solution.....ignore the sign. I thought it would be a fun and short video to share. We did metal detect a few older camp sites but we didn't want to show you 15 minutes of video digging up pennies a...

Just an observation, so please don’t be offended. Better video on your end might bring more subscribers. I’m brand new and don’t even own a detector, so what do I know? But you‘re helping me to convince my wife I need a metal detector at my ripe old age of 75. I’m now a subscriber as of September 2, 2024.
We are always open to any or most feedback when it comes to video quality or things we could do better to grow our channel. Thank you for watching
I'm from cape cod I like your sweatshirt! lol cool video!
@@tylercrocker7731 I still wear that sweatshirt every morning. Best one ever
1916-1945 mercury dimes. Eat your lunch for Christ sake
You are correct on the dates. I second that. Where's the misunderstanding?
@@metaldetecting2077 he found a merc and said 14 or 15. I’m happy for ya some amazing finds and am a little jealous sorry to criticize the 1916d is the key date we all want and know it’s a first year. This is me busting your chops. Anyone would be lucky to find such coins at a beach.
@@JasonwFaber no worries. Thank you for watching.
Fun stuff,
boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵

My old home was right there in Newcastle. On the Damariscotta River. Good striper fishing there too. Very shallow.
in Noam Alaska they say they find more gold after big storms.
I found a Bank of Montreal one cent token I think just like yours! 1837
That is awesome stuff! I love it when I get a mixture of coins and old artifacts
Glad to see you guys back. I enjoy your show.
@@raoliver11 thank you for sticking with us
Helpful HInt: bring a white towel for contrasting background for displaying your finds. 🤨
@acousticshadow4032 great idea. I also noticed that I move item around in my hands when I am showing what I found and it is hard to focus on.
@@metaldetecting2077 ~ You need a technician to handle the presentation side of things. My contract demands are reasonable.
Nice finds…I’m a Hoover boy fan but now adding metal detecting 207
@Beanieweenieable thank you for the good vibes and comment. I enjoy the Hoover Boys and that is what got me started in this great hobby.
At least y'all had a great time! I remember old bridges like that. They were sketchy back then as well. Lol. 💖💯
I wonder, did the moose calling make a difference?
@FreemanSprings not really, it just looked ridiculous trying to call a running moose
I crossed a bridge earlier this year in the North Woods, that scared me enough to stop at any bridge I am not sure of going forward. The bridge was so bad, the front right tire of my truck busted through the road deck.
@FreemanSprings some of those back roads and bridges are route enough that if you got into an accident, it would take days to get back to civilization
@@metaldetecting2077 I agree! Drive miles or so down a road to find out it’s got a tree across it, the road is washed out or a damn gate.. to just have to turn around. I think of it as above ground spelunking 🤣
Great finds!
Look like you had a fun day!❤
Looked like a nice day :)
@dfdigger3820 we had the best time, great weather, tons of food and adult beverages for 3 plus days.
standing liberty quarters started in 1916, just like mercs. Your dates were a little off when you said you found some dated around the turn of the century. The 1916 Bare breast SLQ is a key date along with the 1916 D Mercury dime, aka winged liberty dime. Both are worth hundreds. Good luck, and great video.
@freeloader722 I wasn't sure of the dates. I used to study coin dates and when it came to making a video....all that knowledge goes out the window.
It's a cough drop made of lead
unthawed is a Maine thing... how do you do it ??? i have heard people here in Maine saying this word...unthawed.... do you reverse thaw to a frozen state..unthawed is frozen....
@phillipbingham487 I know what you are saying. When I was editing and reviewing the video, I heard myself saying that said "only in Maine" I am glad you watched the video and hopefully brought you a chuckle.
Oh man what a day! Reminds me of the winter we had in Southern Maine! We have 9 or 10 videos all from the same beach digging silvers every day from January through March! Welcome back guys, happy to see the new content today! Congrats on all that silver!
@masonmercmetaldetecting I enjoy an old field location over a beach....but I dig a ton of junk and pull tabs sound too good to resist.
Hey Steve! Scott Rose from Bangor here. I was thrilled to see you guys uploaded a new video! Great finds!
We had such a great time after that storm in RI and Ct tons of coins silver and jewelry that’s probably a Indian they come up a 18 on nox nice finds
@markkus1134 I will be hitting the beach again after the 4th if July and see if I can find some rings
@@metaldetecting2077 nice I’m on the Ct river and the finds are endless my friends wife just found a super rare 8” long spear head was offered a bunch for it so coo the stuff we find one spot was a old yacht club and it was never detected I found over 100 silver coins Spanish 1/2 dollars barbers seated even a pine tree shilling 1652! The most incredible spot I’ve ever hunted coins literally under and between the rocks!
Welcome back guys! This wan an awesome hunt. Congratulations on all the silvers! We'll see you on the next! 💖💯
@@juliegriffin7609 thank you for hanging on during our absence
did that yahoo actually just ask if the SLQ was silver?!?!?!? and did you actually think the merc in the beginning was from 1912 or 1915?!?!?!?.....REALLY!??!?!?!
@davemiller8215 I leave my videos mostly unedited and of course we may be wrong with our dates on when coins are produced. It is always going to be a learning curve and we are good with that.
@@metaldetecting2077 ....as am i; it was funny stuff
Maybe big Dave has some videos that we can watch and be enlightened by.
WHATS with the shit music...could not even fucken watch..
Wow, whats the hypothesis on all the merc dimes, that seems really strange
I know. Why so many Merc dimes. I don't know why we saw so many
Oh my... too much talking downtime...
So where did all these coins and rings come from? Did people in the early 1900's have a lot of holes in their pockets? And were there a lot of people there at that time? Are there still a lot of people there? So many questions
The beach area itself has been used since the late 1800's and there used to be a hotel and outside roller rink near by the beach. Old photos show the area that we are digging used to be woods but the wind and waters moved around coins
Thanks for the reply. That is amazing history and such an incredible moment to find so many items
Unreal finds on one beach😊
very nice hunt. Congrats!
What an awesome day for silvers!!!❤
