Can you please suggest Soldering wire/paste having melting point in between 610 K and 740 K. And after soldering this should work between 15 K and 600 K. Thanks in advance.

Is it ok to use a low temp solder paste to solder a USB port on a flex circuit board? Or should I use a leaded or lead free solder? I used a quick chip solder to remove the old port that was damaged. I know you said to use only for desoldering, I got a syringe of SRA T5 lead free paste and wanted to use it for a USB port. Thanks for your time.

So I have noticed that when you use the fast chip removal alloy, you compromise the component because when you go to resolder it onto another board the fast chip is still present. This causes your solder joints to continue to melt at these low temperatures. Just something to be aware of. You should try to remove all of the fast chip from the component before soldering it onto another board.
