Great video. But next time turn the phone sideways. 🙂
Pickett or Austin Custom Brass
Antiquated process with poor manufacturing techniques. You use an indicator to “0” out the mouthpiece not a HAMMER !!!. Even when he put the blank into the collet I could see the mouthpiece running out. The counter bore is going to pick that up and the sizing will be inconsistent. This is probably why Bach had inconsistencies with their mouthpieces production years back. They either didn’t know better or they tried to rush production. He should have indicated the blank to”0” run out before he cut the cup. And indicated the backbone to “0” run out before he made the cut. I hate to say it but I wouldn’t pay you 20.00 for a mouthpiece made with those production practices let alone $199.00 .
What would you recommend instead?
Pickett or ACB Austin custom Brass.
If you don't mind me asking, what credentials do you have to be critiquing this company. I would trust the countless professionals that trust this brand with everything they do when it comes to their playing over some rando on the internet
