Just had this procedure (arthrocentesis) done today and it was NOT under local anesthesia as seen in other videos on You Tube for this specific procedure. Given a local numbing agent and all done while I was awake. Very much an intense and painful experience and praying this procedure with help with my TMJ for awhile.
