      While I'm a big fan of Bosch, it looks like the evolution comes with a dust collection hook up on the blade guard. Since I'm huge on managing dust, I would select the Evolution just for this feature. Also, the table surface is bigger. While I don't have experience with the Evolution, the downside is that it seems to be of lower overall quality than the Bosch. Good luck with your decision.

    • @mancaveworkshop
      @mancaveworkshop 5 месяцев назад

      Appreciate the kudos. From your short description, it sounds like there may be a loss wire. If it only flickers when the fan is going, I would bet on that for sure. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it doesn't match up with the remote. Does the remote accurately control the light and the fan?

    I wouldn't recommend a compression style valve since cpvc brittles over time and that end of the pipe will become a weak spot. I would recommend a valve with a cpvc female glued end, or just get a SharkBite. BUT...on the flip side, that's a good install regardless of the material of water pipe the house is piped with, if it ain't leaking then you are A OK 👍🏻

    • @mancaveworkshop
      @mancaveworkshop 6 месяцев назад

      I don’t like the glued end for the reason that you need to cut the pipe from the wall if you need to replace it. I considered the shark bite but that presents the same problem. I do appreciate the consideration and input though. Thanks for the comment.

    Ultimate workbench u would use bx cable and steel boxes for electrical not romex and and residential plastics boxes

    • @mancaveworkshop
      @mancaveworkshop 9 месяцев назад

      That’s a fair comment and I appreciate the input. I had considered that but went this way for the primary reason that these boxes are not attached to studs. Also since there is no exposed electrical there is no need for box cable which I’m assuming is conduit.

    Love the video and the flag pattern. What are your thoughts after a year? I was thinking about the soft tiles…but these hard ones look awesome. Does it feel plasticky on the feet? When you walk….is it loud? Any thing you would change or wish was different?

    • @mancaveworkshop
      @mancaveworkshop 9 месяцев назад

      Thank you. I still love the pattern. I think they have held up really well. If you watch any of my other videos, you will see I don't take it easy on them. The workbench I am building rolls around the garage with ease as does my large tool chest. As far as walking on it, it is louder than walking on concrete, but I wouldn't call it loud. You do hear your footsteps. I don't think I would say its plasticky :) I walk out there barefoot on occasion to raid the beer fridge and don't mind walking on it at all. Actually prefer it over the concrete. There are 2 things to consider. First, leave enough room around the edge of the garage for expansion. I didn't and I live in Florida. When the sun hits the tiles (like when I leave the garage open while I'm working in there), they expand. I only left a quarter inch around the perimeter. That was a mistake. Leave a half inch like they tell you. Second, if you have an odd shape garage like I do, I think I would have made 2 separate sections, one for the 2 car and another for the 1 car and finished it off where they meet rather than joining them. This caused me to have to get creative (as I showed in the video) and I now have to go back and fix it. I still recommend these. Better than the epoxy. Easier to put in and I bet it will hold up better and longer.

    • @mancaveworkshop
      @mancaveworkshop 11 месяцев назад

      I am not paid by anyone. These are the tools I have and this is the workbench that I have been designing for 4 months. Pocket holes are not holding the bench together. They just stabilize the walls. Dowels, nails and construction screws hold the frame together. And yes, its painted! I am renovating my garage into a workshop that I want to look good and not just a bunch of bare wood. My previous workbench was stained and I don't like how it looks after a decade. Let's see your work!
