Behinger Wing rack OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED!
Wow! Great infooo for under 2 mins!! Thanks bro, it helps me a lot really
Waiting for my ES 355 IBG 1959! A beast to complete the collection! Need the skills now
Thank you haha I’ll shoot you a subscribe and test my luck however I’ve never won a giveaway before🤞
BEST OF LUCK 🤞
Our band was called Right of Forty. I hated it.
Contest link: www.sweetwater.com/shop/namm-house/?nucat=1
Haven’t had to cross this bridge in my band and hopeful that it never comes to that, but appreciate your insights on it to try to insulate ourselves from bad outcomes. Every band is going to end at some point (except maybe KISS😂) might as well set expectations ahead of time so it’s smooth and without drama.
100% agree
Cover band going on 3 years together. We rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday except when band members are out. We're also constantly adding new songs, and we often put our own twist on songs.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hahaha
I’m so glad this reached the right audience
“Misalignment of ambitions” is a great way to put it.
Dan's got a way with words
John Mayer is a wonderful amazing guitar player....and this from a Dead fan. Clapton called him the 'best guitar player he's heard. I'm no fan of Mayer the person and not a real follower of his music but seeing him live turned my head. You should check that out first before saying he doesn't belong on the list at all?? What?? Yikes.
I said what I said. No regrets
I’ve tried a few of here speakers and other than the RCF Evox 12, none of them really do the job from a live band in a club situation (IMO) but I have not had a chance to try these. I am a QSC fan. In fact, I have my entire system built around the KW series and love it 90% a time I’ve gotten to the point where I only bring out 118 to most of the rooms as it does the job with the tops and the sub centered, only larger rooms. Do I bring up the second 18 and it knocks your head off
I pulled the trigger on this today. Can't wait. Moving from full sized X32 to this. One caveat, i already have an s16 snake, so makes this much more viable.
Nice move. Going to be a big upgrade.
QSC 6 year warranty beats all other line arrays except Yamaha's 7 year.
BIG facts. Buy it from Sweetwater and get an additional year on top!
Sounds like they’re coming for the Bose Pro 32. I’d be interested to hear a comparison
I'll be at NAMM next week for a full run down!
Oh great another line array. 🙄
Rising tide raises all ships or something? 🤷🏻
Yep and they aren’t worth the dough.i have a db technology 1203 and it smoked this with only one side
If the Rockman has the chorus and reverb of the OG box I'm all over it
Definitely has the chorus.
Decent review for 60 seconds! Would like to have heard samples, but I think we all know what the effects do, and you covered everything informatively; I’m a bit shocked the Sentry NoiseGate is included-that pedal alone is $170
Hahahahahahah!!!! Made my day
new m32 midas? they just dropped the price by $1000
Could be? The new A&H rack mixer is probably gonna steal everyone else's thunder.
@@CoverBandConfidential The wing seems better do you know the price on the a and h ?
$3k is what we’re hearing
@@CoverBandConfidential oof what do you think of the pricing compared to other rack mixers?
I think they merit a higher price tag but I literally just bought a Wing rack so…
If you say yes to a no pay gig, you value yourself at no pay. You don't value your own time, the equipment you're having to bring, any of it. Have at least that much confidence in yourself, if you don't, just stay at home. And for the people not accepting no pay gigs, always ask for more, always counter at least once. Everything went up, if people were paying 250 to 400 before they need to be doling out 400 to 800 now. Too many venues have NO EQUIPMENT and expect a full band to show up with everything for 250, that's a joke. You can barely rent a full band worth of PA for 250 these days.
I’d like to see if the Maestro can be midi triggered off of Stagetraxx3, basically to automate Blackouts and Starts and Stop just as the set is rolling through
100% can. Working on a setup similar to this. Stay tuned.
JBL PRX One's - 2000 watt column array system retailed for ~ $1800, so the price of the QSC's is not far off at all. I've been enjoying my PRX One's for over a year! Remember that Watts as posted on stickers on the front of speakers are 'marketing watts' - the amplifier is capable of producing that amount of power (MAX) , sometimes right before the whole unit eats itself alive depending on the brand. JBL's new SRX line-array units are marketed/rated at 900 Watts, because they are marketing to the professionals, a similar box by a cheaper brand would post the unit's Peak/max rating as the 'watts' for the unit... I'm looking forward to hearing them in person, for sure. Hope I'll see you at the NAMM show again this year!
Maestro arrived a few days ago, just had a chance to set it up with all my lights for the 1st time. definitely a game-changer! going all-in with this setup, so much better than my attempts to program. super interested in DAW control, to automate those changes you might do with a MIDI foot pedal, but from the backing tracks directly. wow what a cool device, and seems like it continues to improve and just curious for a full show, how many total cues are you setting up? changing cues per song? or per part of song?
$100 a man? Where?? 😂😂😂
It’s definitely worth it for the sake of the WIFI signal alone. Behringer is really a pain in the ass here. Save more money and get the A&H console!
I don't think external wifi is that big of a deal but 🤷🏻
It would be pretty cool if you guys can get a videographer on the pod
Interesting proposition! What kind of stuff would you like to know more about from them?
@CoverBandConfidential to help bands with social media post by using live videos. How to edit videos camera angles etc.
1200 down 1100
I think Rolling Stone has gone woke
Big Brain. 🧠
gracias !!
Debating between this and CQ18T which I do have already but need another desk. Does it have integrated wifi? From what I see it doesn't. I know the XR18 does and it was unusable but the CQ18T does have decent wifi and bluetooth connectivity so would save a bit of set up time., and I don't need as many channels as the Wing offers so wondering if there's anything else on it I'd miss out on, I think it has pitch correction built in which might be helpful. Seeing the physical size would also be useful.
No integrated wifi. Built in effects are pretty amazing but you'll have to decide if it's worth leaving A&H
Curious about just how useful is the front panel interface vs just using an iPad, and also, does it have the same software/UI as X-series or is it new (better)?
Touch interface is decent and responsive but having a larger surface (tablet) is preferable. WING interface is unique to the console as is the edit software/apps but there’s enough similarities to find where things are. Just don’t go into the routing options. Easy to get lost if you’re not familiar.
You're a copy band using tracks. Your major artist references are laughable.
Thanks for chiming in 👌🏻
Can behringer please make a 2 x Dsub output card? The only thing stopping me from buying a Wing is the inaffordable ability to hook up to my Neve summing mixer.
@behringer CAN WE GET THIS MAN SOME D-SUBS?????
I own 6 Epiphones and love all of them I have 4 lps and actually like the way the cheaper standards feel better than the custom or pro go figure 🤣Godbless great video 🙏
Hi. Great video. Which lockable microphone boom are you using for this on-stage GPA?. The original one is a "bendable" arm, which does not inspire me long-term reliability. I believe you replaced what is coming in the box. Thanks
The existing boom is ok but I like having additional options. It's the MSA9505 (affiliate) amzn.to/40iwo6u
@@CoverBandConfidential Thank you!. I will use your link when upgrading the stand.
Sound bad on phone
Look dumb on internet
I'm a sound guy, stage, what ever in live entertainment and a musician, guitarist. Guitar or Bass. I was working a Doo Wop show a couple of months ago and I saw that one of the guitarist has an Inspired By Gibson 339. I had been considering buying one of these. He was sitting out before the next to last act that had their own guitarist and I was over on stage right to fly a curtain in and had seen these guitars. the 339 caught my eye. So I asked him, Do yo like that Epiphone 339. I was wondering about them. He said yes I love it. He then showed me a custom shop Gibson les paul he had on the boat. He said you see this, I said yes it's beautiful. Had great flame and then said I have been playing that Epiphone since I bought and comparing it to this custom shop and to be honest, I like this 339 better than a that custom shop Gibson. He was an older gentleman as I am that grew up in the 60's and started rocking in the 70's .
Thank you, Adam and Dan, for allowing the Tone Merchants to be part of your amazing podcast. Your wisdom and advice have impacted our marketing plans for the band. I wish you continued success in the new year!
Our pleasure!
I am SO glad I came across your channel! I can see what is going wrong in my current band and what I need to do with future projects. Thank you so much for all the input and good information. Looking forward to more!
Awesome! Spread the word!
It would be nice to know what bands the hosts are in? Any social media links?
Both of us have our social links in the video description!
@@CoverBandConfidential Yes I've had a look - Dan's band don't seem to have been active since March 23 and there's no real info on your own cover band? Are there any insta/fbook pages where us viewers can see you actually performing at a decent gig not just bars or karaoke hosting? It would give a lot more authenticity to your "coaching" credentials 🤷
@nigelrichardson2309 i don't think they need "authentication". I had never heard of these guys until about a week before we spoke. That didn't matter to me. They spoke with confidence and related in conversation. I got exactly what I needed, the band got exactly what we needed which was to light the fuse to get us in the right direction and get the wheels spinning. Do you need "authentication " or do you need networking with others in your craft to help you achieve whatever goal you have set with your project? Key take-away was the conversation about our website. We spent a great deal of time on it and it looks great, but it doesn't represent what you will see at our show. Keep rocking my dude!
If you wanted to track down Members Only or any of the other projects we are involved in you should be able to. Ultimately you get to decide whether the advice we give is good or bad. I'm not concerned with whether we're "credentialed" in anyone's eyes as I think our content backlog speaks for itself. Have a great weekend!
@@nigelrichardson2309bars and karaoke hosting is the credential. And weddings. That’s where the $ is. If you wanna be a working band these guys definitely know a few things. But to your point, dunno how much or often they work and I’m gonna guess it’s not either of their day jobs. Or someone in the band got deep pockets cause they got a ton of gear between the gig videos I saw and video stuff for the RUclips channel 🤷♀️ For reference this is what I do for a living. Around same age as then. Gig almost every weekend, teach lessons during the week. Bars/wineries/private events pay. Nice venues don’t pay anything. Usually costs to play them. Only good for content creation and fun, and a thank you to your fans that they get to hear you with a real sound system, sound tech, lighting all that. And nice to not have to bring it all myself once in a while. But I’m losing anywhere from $300-$700 anytime I do that in the end. If it’s your main income it’s tough to sacrifice a weekend of $ just for promotion and fun that doesn’t matter if you aren’t actively being a “content creator” and going that route. It’s two separate things.
This is great! Thanks for making stuff like this. Would love to see more in the future. We are a very active band and would love to be a part of this. Been playing in North Florida for 9 years and trying so many ways to market but still not hitting the marks we want. Good Job Yall!!
Hit us up! coverbandconfidential@gmail.com
Really appreciate this kind of content! Thank you.
More to come!
Great perspective. Thanks to the guys in Tone Merchants for being open about it. I'd be curious to know if ALL the band members are responsible/accountable for certain tasks? I find that one or two members try to do it all with other members are watching from the sidelines.
Hello, great question. Two answers - yes and working on it. We will typically have one guy doing the booking, another with social media and another with the recording and mixing part of it. Reality is we all tend to dip our feet into each other's areas and we are currently working on establishing the roles. At the end of the day, we continue to define those roles and to whom it will be given to. At the end of the day, we will support each other though right? Sounds like you have someone in your band that feels like they are doing everything or most of it. Is that safe to assume?
Great response Mike!
We also share gig setup and breakdown responsibilities, including the PA system, lights, and banner.
@@ericmmiller and yes! This lead singer helps! Don't believe the memes! Lol
I write original stuff, but I'm lazy about producing it and promoting it. I wouldn't mind doing it if I had a team that worked for percentage of royalties. But, or course, everyone wants money upfront. So I do DIY and release songs once in blue moon, and put little effort into promoting it.
If you feel good about it and it works for you, more power to you 🤘🏻
How do you feel as far at the rack being a main staple in your studio. Do you think mixing a song with this will be easy?
This is strictly for live use in my case. My recording setup is very different
I bought one and spent hours trying to get it playable. I ended up changing the tuners and spending forever on the action. Once I finished it is a half decent guitar.
