This was my first novice attempt at an aircraft carrier. Usually I do planes. Noted on all the points you have made. I'm in the middle of building the 350 scale Nimitz and have tried to be true to the reference photos I have. This was way over weathered, as you say, lines haven't been done properly, the deck is too dark and the life boats are aren't white.

Hi, not sure. I can only think the on/off switch has shorted. Probably best to have an electrician/repairer to have a look as its mains powered. All the best, hope you can get it fixed.

Thank you so much mate. I actually scanned the Mast and Island from the 1/700 scale kit (yr 2006), upscaled it and printed it. It came out a bit rough so I tried smoothing it out with some putty.

​@brighttryhard3364 I usually use a minimal amount and let it sit for a while to cure. Sometimes I use Loctite, that sticks to anything. It's great for PE parts.

How do the F-14D Tomcat (I watched Mr. Lin's build video of Tamiya's 1:48th-scale kit of it) and the F/A-18E compare? I expect that they are quite different aircraft.

Thank you so much 🙂. I always worry about over thinning and the previous coat bleeding. I made an Apache before and i think i added too much thinner, the preshading bled through and it looked horrible. I struggle with the ratio.

@@I.C.ModelsPaint to Thinner ratio is about 1:1. Check the consistency first before filling your airbrush. We want it as thick as milk.🥛
