I got a lot of respect for you. Going to school to get your a license. I'm like the man that made the first comment. I'm retired. I started in 1973 and I finally retired in 2017. There's a lot to it. As long as you keep an open mind and listen to people have got the common sense. You'll be fine and like the one man said, don't eat the damn food on the road. Make your lunch to carry with you if you're home each day. And if you're not, make your own TV dinners to carry with you through the week. Carry on safe travels

Pulled 40’s out of Seattle , Hand a 4 axel chassis ,with 12 pins,drove a older W900A with 4 axles . Crossed the mountain at 105,000. That’s what I was permitted for. Nowadays ,I’m sitting here missing,triple digits, twin sticks, and toothpicks.😊

Is that a spray adhesive, and would it be safe to use on a dry van ????? Also how hard is it to remove the placards after your done with load ???

Truck driving is nothing but glorified machanic/laborer work that can drive someone's junk around on occasion. OTR is an absolute waste of life because you can't work anymore.

Have fun with that. I made more money working in a warehouse than trucking. I've lost 20K in a year. This one bankrupt, that one won't pay, the other 4 can't show up on time. Third time I'm done. Easiest job on the planet and grown men can't even get to work on time. That industry is nothing but overgrown children. $17/hr. for Hazmat!? You can have it. That industry has the absolute worst management problem I have ever encountered in my 50 miserable working years. Pay them $50/hr. and they destroy it! Dumb

The placard on the front of the trailer has to be visible from in front of the truck, you may have to put one on the front of the tractor to be completely legal. I'm guessing you have a hazmat endorsement on your cdl.

Back when I hauled containers think I had every too known to man except a cutting torch and a welder to work on their junk. But thats why we got paid 5.00 a running mile loaded or mt. That was back in the 90s.

One thing intermodal has taught me, push in red valve before you walk back there.. that way you catch this and you can to make sure you're actually getting air to your trailer tank by pulling the string

In this cold weather try to keep the trailer brakes off so the air doesn't get a chance to freeze and also keep rubbing alcohol on you for which you can use to free up frozen lines

Happens this time of the year I had a frozen line yesterday I rocked to back and forth until it broke loose. Sometimes you can hammer the air chambers and tap on the lines as well to free them up....
