I'm more of a Chevy Caprice guy having owned a 96' 9C1 ex-detective unit with the 5.7 LT-1 motor, but there's no denying this was a better-built, more reliable platform than the GM B-bodies.

I lost my virginity in a mid 90s crown vic.. Ford atleast should of of put leather in the last vic...I'm late 30s and drive a grand Mar 01 with 99k..lol..

-This was a PANTHER platform car. This platform was introduced in 1979 with the Ford LTD. It was first produced in July 1978 for the '79 model year, and ended in 2011 as seen in this video. It DID NOT START IN 1967! Hello?

It's now at the "Freedom Factory" in Bradenton, Flori-Duh where it competes in Cleetus McFarland's races.... These were initially the "Ford LTD". I don't know when they became "Crown Victoria", or where that name actually came from.

I had a Ford crown Victor I never sell that car I just ended swap it was with a supercharged V8 hellcat with a twin turbo it actually pops and I put a army tricks exhaust with electron exhaust bottle it sounds so mean and I accidentally wide body it I love this thing so much

Why was it discontinued? Surely there must be a logical explanation to it. Can someone explain?

And now the assembly plant where these cars were built was demolished and is now an amazon fulfillment warehouse.

What became of the car? Did it go into a collection or was it sold to a Ford customer?

This exactly why Ford will , FAIL . Every single high selling car they had they killed off , LTD ,Crown Vic , Thunderbird , Taurus Ranchero ...... My Brother is still driving his 2005 Taurus and it is Like new just routine maintenance .... The F-150 Standard Cab Short bed ..... All they can make now are mustangs which are soooo Overly Priced people can't buy them ........... My 80+ yr old Father who had always been a Ford guy , Finally was told by a ford dealer they could not make him a deal on a 2014 Taurus , So, He walked out and told them he was going to go to a chevy Dealer . NEVER Made it , That was the Day this Family switched to a KIA .................. Never had any Issues with them !!!!!!

Bring it back! Everyone made fun of body on fram rear wheel drive V-8 cars. They were indestructible! Look at the CRAP Ford has put out since!!!!!! Front wheel drive, turbo charged V-6 or that EV garbage. Wish they still made the Crown Vic, I would run out and buy one right away.

Ford needs to bring them back, don't upgrade anything other than safety and quality of life things, like give us carplay stereos and backup cams, but other than that, aesthetically, it's just a crown vic.

little fun fact: this LAST crownvic is still in saudi with like a small small amount of kilometers driven on it, and its listed for like 345,000 SAR = approx. 92,000 USD. still got the original signatures of the ford employees.
