Retail Book Value. Maybe a little more because it’s rust free with a great vehicle history. And depending on the location, these 5th Generation Camry’s can sell for well over book value. They are getting hard to find which bumps the value a bit. Thanks for the comment!

I’ve never heard of any head bolt issues with the 2AZ-FE 4 cylinder. The V6 is great and all but the 2.4L 4 cylinder in the 5th Generation Camry is king. Much more reliable, fuel efficient, and sought after. Thanks for the comment!

Yes 2AZFE 2.4 I4 motor is notorious for head bolt (thread) issues and Toyota has a TSB for it. They'll burn oil & coolant bc of it but I believe it's more of a problem with the 06-10 models. I have an 04 Camry 2AZFE 170k, no issues. I know someone else with an 03 95k, no issues. Nice car though, looks super clean!! It's ready for another 20 years of driving!

Yeah I heard the 2007-2011 Camry’s had some issues but I’ve never had issues with any 2002-2006 Camry’s. And yes this ole gal is ready for another 150K miles and more with the proper maintenance! I’ve seen these 5th generation Camry’s still running with 500K miles before. They definitely last if they are taken care of. Appreciate the comment, Track!

@ ok so the video is uploading on my channel. Some fax to know about this car is it’s a 2007 es 350 76k miles. One owner looks brand new feels brand new. This is my first car if I end up buying it but the engine sounds a bit weird I do t want to buy a car with a failing engine. Also side note I took this video after I drove it for 10 mins.

@ definitely sounds healthy! Don’t worry about the slight pinging. These 3.5L engines do that. And 76K miles is low!! That’ll last for a long time. I’d buy it for sure. 👍

@ I was told by my automotive teacher that it sounds like rod knock and some other guy told me lifter valves but idk who to believe. I mean I’m really interested in this car but I can’t get a clear answer from anyone. But you seem to know a lot more as you have rebuilt these before. So that deep tick and what is that ? And when I drove it every so often when I hit the gas this was a small clunk

@@marklulay Just a heads up, most of those ebay discs are bootleg but they will work fine. The only thing with them is that they have a sticker label on the disc which hypothetically could melt in the heat and ruin the DVD drive but it's very unlikely. To be safe, I copied the contents of the DVD to my computer and burned a new Disc (dual layer DVD) without any printed stickers on it to eliminate the possibility of it melting.

@@k.m.cpakistan8038 yes, the 2.4L 2AZ-FE inline 4 cylinder. If you keep your foot out of it and maintenance is up to date, you can squeeze 36-40 miles per gallon out of these. But generally around 30mpg with average person driving habits. Thanks for the question!

@@marklulay my next project is to paint my 2005 Lexus IS300. The stock color is a light blue metallic. I am going to likely send it to the paint shop next week. I am just going to add the Altezza Front Lip Spoiler, Coilovers and camber kit and throw on some 17X9 Gram Lights, I havent decided a color yet.

@@JohnPaulCamposHohnerAnacleto sounds like it’s going to be a sweet IS300. I had about 150 hours of restoration time in this Spectra Blue IS. Bought it for $1000 and sold it for $7,500. You should paint yours white. I always loved seeing a white 1st gen IS300 when they first came out.

That’s mixed highway and city. Pure highway I get 34mpg. Pure city 22mpg. All recommended maintenance.

Congrats on your Camry purchase! They are really great cars. 2002-2006 Camrys are probably the best used cars available.

@@marklulay The 2002-2006 V6 Camrys are the best of that generation over the V4 Camrys because of the head bolt issues the V4 engine had for 2002-2006. Mark, you made the right decision in buying the V6 for 2004. The cloth seating is also better than the leather seating because the leather seats don't hold up as well over time as the cloth seats. The cloth seating pattern design for 2002-2004 was nicer than the cloth seating pattern design for 2005-2006.
