Well filmed and edited, even managed to get us in yet again. It was difficult to tell from the footbridge if it was smoke or steam coming out of Tangmere with the sun behind it. Solved!

D213 Andania was the loco that my grandfather drove on his last day before retiring from BR in the late 60's. We recently uncovered a B+W photo taken of him leaning out of the cab at the end of his last shift. Locomotive Services LTD who run Andania were kind enough to let my son and I visit Crewe to recreate the picture to add to our family collection.

Why do some of the locomotives in Britian sound like a farm tractor plowing a field?? Kind of puttering along...

Surprised this engine is still running, still sounding as sick as it has for some weeks, still not being allowed to put any real power down, and still totally reliant on the diesel. Good film though.

Well filmed as usual. Circumstances dictated we were at the station for it.

I thought the layouts were wonderful; but the camera was dancing about all over the place. Needs must to pick a scene and film what goes on there, just like an onlooker would from the top of a hill. Also, pleasew remember that 'It isn't all about locomotives. The rolling stock and the scenery playa massive part as well!

I was waiting in Leeds at neville tunnel to see the train pass as that was the ususal route of the waverly.. Without knowing about some line being closed... and the train was going into the station on the opposite side . Hopefully i will havve some luck when it returns later today, ill be standing on the correct side this time lol
